This is funnier than it should be. Rob's, Mega Man's and Dark Pit's made me laugh so hard. I was honestly just expecting DP's to be the exact same as Pit's.

Now hear me out. You may cry out that there's no point in having him while we have Toon Link. But Young Link has the potential to be very unique. The most argued idea is the mask moveset where he would use various masks to change his form. Now, characters can no longer tarns form mid match, but here's my idea. He could briefly put on the Zora mask for his neutral B and shoot the boomerangs then take it off. For side b you could briefly put on the Goron mask and use the rolling attack. Up B would involve using the Deku mask and flying upwards with the flowers. Down b would be interesting. In Hyrule Warriors, Young Link can use the Ocarina of Time yo briefly power himself up. I could see that working like deep breathing or the Monado Arts. Fierce Deity can be the final smash.
Of course, for jab, tilts, aerials, and smashes, he could use the Kokiri sword. Give him unique sword moves and not just copies of Link's. Now, these are just some idea. Young Link could also take advantage of items like deku sticks, deku nuts, the slingshot, etc.
For some visual flare to differentiate him a bit more from the other Links, go with his Hyrule Warriors design that goes with the OoT artstyle and the Keaton mask.
Normally, I would say Young Link is too far-fetched, but he recently was featured in MM3D and was made DLC in Hyrule Warriors.
The Link series really needs a new newcomer, but c'mon, the Mario series got what it needed. In Barlw, the Mario series got shafted, so I thought Smush is kind of a make-up.GalacticPetey said:Or at the very least a new Zelda character? It's my favorite Nintendo series and it got shafted this game in terms of characters. No new characters at all. Meanwhile Mario gets two newcomers and a cut veteran.
But Ridley is too big, so they can't have another character. Sawry.Groose said:Metroid needs a newcomer more than any series. It was this before smash 4 I was disappointed when there wasn't one.
Samus could do with a newcomer, but with Ridley out of question (understandably very bitter for some of you), who's a viable choice?Groose said:Metroid needs a newcomer more than any series. It was this before smash 4 I was disappointed when there wasn't one.
In the next game, we need either Tingle or Young Link in addition to another villain.GalacticPetey said:You know who would be a fun DLC character? Young Link.

Sakurai likely won't be directing the next one, so if the next director can actually see how Ridley could work, he'll likely be added. If not, then Dark Samus would be awesome as a semi-clone or even a fully unique character.Groose said:Metroid needs a newcomer more than any series. I hesitated on Dark Samus because it looks too similar to Samus, so it may get some flack by uninformed fans and all.Baby Luigi said:Dark Samus
It could work out, but then again, considering Dark Pit's and Ganondorf's situations, it will probably end up being a clone of Samus
