I'd be like, "You guys won't shut up about Ridley, so you don't get Marth anymore".

That's sorta what he did with Geno, isn't it? Every time Geno was mentioned, the game was delayed by a day or something like that (not seriously, but still).

I think that was a Dorkly or Smosh thing they did as a joke, though I could be wrong.

I think that Sakurai really is just trying to please the most people he possibly can while still working in a realistic sense, because yeah, you'll have people disappointed, but at least all 4 Smash games are phenominal, and Sm4sh definitely be one of the best ones (arguably, but it has one of the best rosters (and the biggest), along with being one of the most balanced, as well as tons of choices and selections for both competitive and casual players). Smash really gets the blunt since it's such a fan-fic-ish game where honestly anything can happen and people could potentially see some of their favorite characters playable and it's basically Sakurai's telling of how all these Nintendo characters perform in a fighting game.

For the first time probably this year, I fought a Wii Fit Trainer.

It was kinda annoying because I got bodied purely from ignorance of her moveset beyond vague recollection of some of her specials.

I much prefer Marth too. If I had to cut a character it would probably be Lucina. Why does she need to be her own character anyways? Where in Awakening does it say that her blade has equal power through the whole blade? I would probably use her more if she was a Marth costume.

I guess she's there to be the in-between of Marth/Roy which while I believe makes some sense, is still kind of silly because she's so similar to Marth besides the sword's sweetspots, especially when you compare her to Falco, who's similar to Fox in a few ways but actually different enough to be easily seen as another character, and iirc Lucina doesn't have any moves that don't look like one of Marth's, which is also kind of sad.

Lucina was originally an alt costume for Marth. While in production, Sakurai decided to beef up the roster and make her a seperate characte.

Believe me, there are probably a whole lot of characters I'd get punished for due to lack of knowledge that they even existed in Smush.

I'm glad Lucina is a clone because she's a completely different character from Marth and I personally don't like completely different characters being mere alts

would have preferred Alph be a clone too on that note

Koopalings are an exception because you can't really make seven clones of one character

I wish they have actual alternate costumes for Bowser Jr, and then the remaining slots would be the Koopalings, kinda like Little Mac.
