Yeah, I did wonder for a bit whether it was colour coded to who was dying. Green for Link and Red for Samus, but I'd assume Samus' color would be Orange so I think your idea is much better.
I did notice in the trailer that when Bowser and Fox were sent flying at the same time by Mario and Link that their death trails were Green and Red.

For Wii Fit Trainer, Kirby will likely only copy the hair.
I really do hope Sonic makes a return, however. Mega Man, Mario and Sonic in an officially released game was a childhood fantasy of mine.

If I had to give a percentage on Sonic's chances of returning it'd be no lower then 90%. There's just too many things in Sonic's favor.
The Sega/Nintendo deal for 3 Sonic nintendo exclusive games
- The first being Sonic Lost World
- The 2nd being the fourth addition in the Mario & Sonic Olympic games
- The 3rd is TBA. Some speculate that SSB4 is the 3rd game but we'll have to see if that's true
The fact Mario & Sonic itself is an ongoing series should make Sonic's return obvious. Mario & Sonic in one game still makes money, add Megaman to the equation and there should be more incentive for bringing Sonic back.

Sakurai does not like to cut alot of characters. That is obvious in Dr. Mario, Roy, and Mewtwo's presence in Brawl's "Forbidden 7". He'd be absolutely insane to cut a character that was so wanted.
And if Nintendo really wants to have SSB4 celebrate the previous generation. As Melee did for the N64, and as Brawl did for the Gamecube, then I think Sonic should definitely be part of it because Sega and Nintendo becoming closer then ever I imagine is much a big part of the Wii's history. Not only because of Brawl and the Olympic Games, but also the Storybook series plus Sonic Colors. Without Sonic, I actually think SSB4 would have a hole in it's supposed history of celebrating the Wii.

Nintendo and Sega have been like best friends since the Dreamcast failed (or in more recent years, when all the Mario and Sonic stuff began). I really doubt Sonic is going.

Ok, this definitely looks like the inside of Reset Bomb Core. Maybe the KI:U stage from the previous image is part of this and if so, it seems like this will act like the Castle Siege or Delfino Plaza stage from Brawl as it shifts from location to location, although I personally feel like it'd be like the Halberd in which the stage basically just flies around and goes through the whole level.

I was imagining more of the reset bomb would land behind the stage where the fighting was taking place then it would grow big enough to cover the stage's surroundings.

I hope it's not another 'platform floating in the air' stage. A Pilotwings stage seems like it'd be more likely to appear on the 3DS (because of Resort) so I guess that means this is going to be based off the SNES game and not the 3DS one.
