Meh I don't care about that, I prefer to get used to the new controller.

*pukes rainbows*

Also if that controller works with my Gamecube, and vice versa (My old GCN controllers working with my Wii U), i'm gonna scream.

I'm hoping for Fountain of Dreams to be a returning stage from Melee to the Wii U version. A man can dream.

If not that, it'd be nice to see some Return to Dreamland/Triple Deluxe stuff.

ehhh gamepad's better

The only professional player I'm familiar with is Ken Hoang. Everyone else, I've never heard of. Still, it's awesome that these professionals are invited to an official event hosted by Nintendo!

Also, being able to use GameCube controllers on the Wii U? Brilliant!

Here's a first look at the bottom-screen display for the Nintendo 3DS. Your name will appear in the area above the accumulated damage. And if you tap one of the fighter displays...!

…You can highlight that fighter on your screen. This is useful when you want to get back at a particular opponent. You can also highlight yourself if you need to keep better track of where you are. This is a great benefit to having your own individual screen.

Damn, I hope this is available in online mode as well. Highlight the friend that I wish to kill in revenge.

My only problem with this is having to look down to see percentages.
Both screens are in your field of vision at all times unless you're way too close to the screen. It won't be a problem. It's like playing Mario Kart and looking at the map, it literally doesn't affect you at all to notice the bottom scene for a split second.

If they did something like this with the gamepad it would be a problem because everyone is looking at the tv, not the gamepad.

Since the Gamecube controllers were announced to be compatible with the Wii U, everyone on Twitter has been saying "Thank you Based Sakurai". What does "based" mean? Or what does the expression mean altogether? English is not my first language and for some reason, that sentence makes me laugh A LOT, but I just don't get what it means. Help please?
