Looks like we're gonna FINALLY have a celebrity voice in Smash

haha fine, but still, i guess keith being snake is all well and good, but it'll be weird for me.

New voice for snake will be hard to adjust too, assuming snake gets in that is(not arguing for that).

Yeah, speaking of which, do we even know if Snake will be in this game?

I mean, the last 5 pages will be all for nothing if Snake is not even in this game. They might be rotating the third party a bit so they can include new third parties without making the game feel less Nintendo-y, so he might not be in the next game.

It's Kiefer not Keith

Do you consider vocalists in very famous bands to not be celebrities?

ce·leb·ri·ty [suh-leb-ri-tee]
noun, plural ce·leb·ri·ties for 1.
1. a famous or well-known person.
Exactly and that's what Kiefer Sutherland is, but as for Smith and Martinet...not so important, they're voice actors, they never appear in famous movies and don't show their faces in movies, and get paid little
They're famous and well known. Doesn't that fit the definition?
All they do is games basically
Games that are played by millions of people...

They're celebrities, they actually show their faces most of the time
Voice actors also do not hide in total seclusion, never to be seen by the public eye.

What defines "shows their faces"? Because many voice actors appear publicly for interviews and promotions. If you mean people generally know who they are, someone may hear and like an Aerosmith song, but would someone who isn't really musically educated know that Steven Tyler is the name of the guy who sang in it?

following that logic the gorillaz wouldn't be celebrity people?

My point is that all we ever had in Smash are just voice actors who just do games and other animated stuff, now all of that is about to change

What's the point of taking him out? It's not like he's a clone

Yeah I kinda believe that they'll keep Snake in. I don't see any good reason why they wouldn't.

Though I don't think it matters that much to have a new voice actor even if they're so called "more famous" just because they were in movies.

Though it'd be kinda funny. Assuming Snake and Sonic return (I think there's even less doubt that Sonic will return), they might both have new voice actors. Then again, that's actually been the case for some Nintendo characters too. Fox for example between Melee and Brawl.

Well, Smash Bros. is a game that puts together all of Nintendo's biggest series together. Picture it like Sega racing. However, there are some third parties to satisfy some fans, but you got to remember that it is focused solely on Nintendo for the most part, and is a Nintendo game. They are thinking of adding some more third parties, but you got to understand that it costs them money for copywrite from the companies to do so, and also because they shouldn't be including too many third parties since it is meant to focus on Nintendo characters coming together. So they might take out Snake and put a new third party in the game and "rotate" the characters so that they can satisfy some fans while the other stuff I said.

That. If Snake does return (and I personally think he will) and brings a new voice actor with him it won't affect my enjoyment of the game at all.

I don't get all the fuss about being a celebrity or not. Do people here want Lady freaking Gaga to voice Peach or something?

And to be honest, the celebrity that voices Snake isn't a big star. I mean, sure, they were in a lot of television shows, but those shows are not very well-known besides maybe one or two.

I'm pretty sure that if Lady Gaga was voicing someone though with her status, they WOULD make a bit of deal about it.
