What were you doing when you heard about a crisis?

They say that everyone who heard about JFK assasinations can remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard about it. Where were you and what were you doing when you first heard about a crisis in your lifetime, ie, Nine eleven, the Newtown Massacre, the Boston Marathon Bombing.

I had to write a paper about the JFK assassinations, and you know what I learned from all the sites I've researched?

Eye witness people are the worse piece of evidence to any case.

Everything is in the scene of the moment, and people tend to imagine things at times like this. If you put all the stories of the JFK assassination together, you would have the most contradicting story ever. Literally, there are probably a 1,000 different stories about what people saw and heard on that day and time that it was hell to figure out what happened that day. Didn't help that Oswald was killed by Ruby before they could get information from him.

But yes, I do think that people tend to have a really good time remembering where they are and what they supposably saw.

I do not remember 9/11. I was a little kid, and I honestly do not remember. My birthday was the next day, and I remember exactly what I was doing for my birthday in 1st grade, but nothing else around that time.

As for the Newtown Massacre, all I know is that I was in school, and our Social Studies teacher told us about it. I went home and saw on Yahoo about it, and made an article on this site dealing with it.

As for the Boston Marathon Bombing, I don't even remember how I heard about it. I think I just heard it from this site or from my Social Studies teacher about it, but I just don't remember where I first heard it.

9/11 - My grandparents' house on Staten Island. Playing with a toy map of the United States. It had a picture of the twin towers on the New York tile, and my dad explained to me what they were and why the map was no longer accurate.

Newtown - School.

Boston Marathon - Again, school.

I remember watching some news report of the Boston Marathon Bombing in a hotel room the day it happened. I don't exactly remember when I heard about 9/11 or the Newtown Massacre.

Wasn't exactly a crisis, but I remember I was at Universal Studios when Michael Jackson died back in 2009. That's about it - I was too young to remember where I was during 9/11.

I remember getting confused about a plane running into the skyscraper in 9/11 and wondering why my parents were upset about it. I was only about like 5 or 6 back then

For Boston Marathon I'm pretty sure I was browsing the internet. After reading about it, went next door(family members house) and watched the news.

My memory is hazy that far back for 9/11... Either at school or stayed at home...

As for the Russian meteor explosion event this year in Feb., I was again on the internet. I remember getting spine chills about this one...

The Aurora, Colorado shooting was one I specifically got more worried over because I thought maybe family members were involved as they love Batman.

9/11 was in school, as much as a jerk i was back then it still surprised me to see so many people die with just two planes.

I still remember it mostly because some other kid thought it was funny, reminds me that some people are just really screwed up.

boston thing i didnt know about until my mom told me hours later, which she showed me some clips of what happened, sucks to see people die like that.

I was only four years old when 9/11 happened, so I don't remember anything.

I think I was reading the news on internet when the Boston explosion happened. Yes, I was surprised.

Oh, only one that comes to mind is the boston marathon bombings.

I learned of that crisis, right before I was drivento the other side of the city to hang out with a friend.

I would also like to mention i live right next to boston. >.>
