Last month in study hall I just found out that Teal is really what I thought was Aqua and Aqua is really what I thought was Teal. I was heartbroken.

Black is indeed no colour, it's a shade of light.

Umm... All colors are shades of light. Black, gray, and white are just the ones where the primary colors red, blue, and green are present in roughly equal amounts.

Black is the color that absorbs all light and reflects nothing back for the eye to pick up. It is commonly referred to as "lack of color". It's status as a color may be debatable, but claiming it is definitely not a color is nonsense. That's like saying zero is not a number.

My favorite color is green, but I think there is no color I do not like to some extent.
