Gen I: Lapras
Gen II: Scizor (Not too big of a fan of Gen II, none of the Pokemon are all that good IMO)

Okay SERIOUS ANSWER:
Gen 1: Squirtle, Eevee and Haunter
Reason? Squirtle is IMO the best start of the entire series, evolves into a fucking badass and is generally awesome. Eevee evolves into whatever the fuck you want, and is absolutely adorable. And if you killed awesomeness and then stared at it's ghost, you would see Haunter, and then it also evolves into Gengar, which personally doesn't look as cool but wrecks shit up.
Gen 2: Cyndaquil, Pichu, Umbreon
Reason? Cyndaquil is adorable, and evolves into Typhlosion, which in terms of actual gameplay and stats and such, is my all time favorite pokemon, it just fucking wrecks everything. Pichu is absolutely adorable. Umbreon is my favorite eeveelution.
Gen 3: Treecko
Reason? Treecko is badass. I don't really like gen 3 all that much.
Gen 4: Riolu, Shaymin
Reason? Riolu is awesome, and adorable and evolves into the incredibly badass Lucario. Shaymin is just all kinds of cool.
Gen 5: Reuniclus
Reason? Fanart. Reuniclus has some freaking amazing fanart. Plus I haven't gotten far enough in Pokemon: White to truly appreciate or "bond" with any of my pokemon yet.
