thanks, sometimes a kind bit of approval is good. funny I have never been told I draw with "realistic" proportions or anatomy till this forum, that's cool. XD

Well, I don't know if realistic is the right word... I was just kind of copying what everyone else was saying. He certainly is more realistic than how he normally looks. I've always liked Mario artwork that puts the characters in a different style, like this picture:

Yeah... live action adaptions based on cartoons are usually pretty bad but I don't see a reason to discourage drawing cartoon characters off model or in unique styles.
