I just tried to fight my way through the Palpatine article on Wookieepedia (which is really scary btw) and I think I read something like that his force storm power creates wormholes and he blew up a planet with it once.

It might have been that the planet was actually Nick Fury, idk, the article is somewhat unmanageable.
 
Well, it might have been something from the clone wars. I don't really consider that canon, since it was all a rather big mess, but I did like some of the things it put forward, such as the reason Grevious was always coughing and wheezing (due to mace Windu/nick fury force crushing his chest plate)

It doesn't blow up planets, just chews up dozens of capital ships at a time. Which is indeed overpowered.

That's part of the reason why I rank Grand Admiral Thrawn over Palpatine, and why I despise the Dark Empire storyline (which is where Palpatine gets two Eclipse-class Star Destroyers, a fleet of World Devastators, the Galaxy Gun, the Force Storm power, and the ability to revive himself when he dies).

So... basically, it's like Jack Noir. I like Palpatine before he became overpowered (his plot in Episode III was sheer genius), but after SUDDENLY HE HAS TONS OF POWERS I don't like him.
 
It's beautiful isn't it? Oh man that guy who was setting up his fan messed up big time, but if he installed colored lights it'd be good for a party or something.
