http://www.random-image.net/ is a good alternative. don't think mario boards gets enough traffic to break the hit limit, but i don't exactly post a lot either.

also added some jifs
 
mine broke several times from that site b/c of hit limits so my home boye xp got me coverd

There's also grumpybumpers which is the most simple/effective/reliable one I've found.

No limit afaik, it doesn't automatically resize your images though so that part is up to you.

Good idea. I'm not sure what character I would use. Probably Gold or Yellow. But it would have to be next year because I had way too many Pokémon themes this year.
