I have a new/avatar/sig/whatever.

I do not see a problem unless it is hard to work out what user it was.

If thats true, then you gotta wait.
Look, I'm fine with asking the mods to change my name, but having a limit is unfair. Yes I do understand that maybe there should be a limit, maybe 6 days unless a mistake or typo was made in the name change, but I think it's unfair for one month because this is where users come to have fun and know each other at a non-working/non-serious level, the wiki is like the work place where we have to be serious and strict (and now that I think about, I'm thinking of making a proposal in the wiki to ban name changes, unless under certain circumstances)
I agree with ShyGuy when he said that people were abusing the privilege.

Usually it's not because if somebody quoted that user from before the name change, the last name will stay on the quote info and it's not to much of a hassle to click on their name to just find out who they are.

Funny, you're the only one who seems to give a damn. Live with it bub.
That was incredibly offensive.

How can you abuse it? Abuse is yo use it wrongly or improperly, but to abuse the privilege is like changing your your username every couple minutes or hours, or each day, or putting in names that are vulgar, offensive, racist, etc., but I NEVER saw anything like that.

They were abusing, because there was no limit on it.
Some of the biggest n00bs were changing their names like every hour, and this results into people we will never know.
What also has been done, people were changing in names like "a Mod", and many other bullshit names.

I think these 2 reasons were why this actually happened.

Thank you Yami, that's what I wanted, I respectful, polite response/answer to my question, not like ShyGuy who offended me.

Alright, so I never noticed those n00bs at all, probably because they were on other threads I don't pay attention to, but the name "a Mod" does sort of ring a bell.

Now, about the name change rule, may I propose a new rule that is balance and each side is happy? If you want, I could also open another thread to discuss about it.

Or each week.

If you can't tell, you were one of the leading reasons they removed the privilege.

So why were they so cowardly to not send me a PM regarding on that?

Ehh... in some sense, they should of PM'd me to stop changing it every week and I'll be happy to do it since I was the so you call main reason.

Haters gonna hate.

I only had about 3 name changes, at any rate.

Well, it was something like Master Crash > Ser Espiel > Some longer version of Ser Espiel > a Mod > Ser Espiel. So thats like, 5 name changes.

I had Macaroni Bomb Vest awhile back, back when you had to request name changes from moderators.

So it was... Ser Espiel, to Ser Ezio Auditore da Firenze, to a Mod. I had to request Ser Espiel again.

You know how substance abuse means the overuse of a type of medicine or drug? Use the term abuse in the same way here. Once a week is certainly overusing it. Once or twice a month is much more reasonable.

But there's no bad consequence on doing a name change ever week, unlike taking drugs. Unless there is some technical issue, as like slowing down the forum, of changing your name then that will be different. Now that I think about it, there is no exact rule about namechanging. I will propose a rule and swing it by the staff on another thread.
