I wanted to start a Zelda fad since I was Ganondorf, but nobody changed their name to something Zelda related. I may be Ganondorf again.
 
If not, then I thought about the "Game Title"-fad.
I mean, something like:
User 1 = "Mario Kart 7"
User 2 = "Kirby Mass Attack"
User 3 = "God of War III"
Etc.

I may start a console fad.
 
The problem is, console fads are full really soon, unless you also include the redesigns, and extremely retro (3rd Party) consoles.

DSi is actually a redesign as well.
Oh, and you've also forgot all Sega consoles, all Atari consoles, some of the less popular Nintendo handhelds (Pokémon Mini, Pikachu Mini, etc.).
 
Yes, DSi is a redesign, and a big one too (new OS, new features, more games, etc.).

The 3DS is a new generation.

You can see it like this:
DS and DS Lite = NTR, or NITRO.
DSi and DSi XL/LL = TWL.
3DS = CTR.
Wii = RVL.
GCN = DOL.
Etc.

I mean, the customer name and their developer name.

I didn't understand any of those abbreveations D:
 
NTR stands for Nitro, which is the codename for Nintendo DS.
DOL stands for Dolphin, which is the codename for Nintendo Gamecube.
RVL stands for Revolution, which is the codename for Nintendo Wii.

I dunno where "CTR" and "TWL" stand for, though.

Also, DSi is in the same generation as the DS, but it's also a new platform for developers.

Well if that's the case, the CTR may be some type of abbreviation for Project Cafe.
 
CTR is 3DS, Project Café is Wii U.
Maybe the Wii U might be "CAF"?
Who knows?

It would be awesome if there were more LotR names here, those are simply some of the best movies ever created.

Gandalf and Aragorn are my favorites at the moment, with Faramir in third.

Someone should be Boromir, it would give them an excuse to say

So, what you're saying is--you're going to say you like something because other people are also saying that they like it, and you guys all view this as some measurement of popularity? I have no idea why any sort of fad ever takes hold, beyond the fact that people enjoy mindlessly following other people that they deem to be cooler than they are, and believing that by associating their own preferences with their idol's preferences, that they may get some of the coolness that flakes off of the other person.

Actually, from what I take of it, the Homestuck fad is being destroyed by those people who are joining the fad simply because it's a fad, as you stated you did, or to simply achieve the honk rank. The fact that a group of people likes something else should not make it impossible for you to have something that you like. There is no way that it could possibly infringe on it except perhaps if you don't actually like what you're saying you're liking, and only using it to gauge popularity.
