My friend owned a parrot once, but it somehow opened the cage and flew away.

Birds such as cockatiels don't immediately fly away when they're out of the cage. Heck my cockatiel is out of the cage 95% of the time. But Lefty and I trim her wings so she doesn't fly far and high when she does fly.

Oh LeftyGreenMario (Mario Party X) is my twin sister. My cockatiel does have a name: Speckles, which is named after her distinctive speckled tail.

There are blue-colored Macaws, but I don't know if you can keep them as pets. The Hyacinth Macaw, for instance.
