I wouldn't mind, but something tells me that even if Nintendo did have the rights to Geno, they still wouldn't use him. Just look at how many characters they've neglected already, and still continue to do so up to this day.

I don't even get why people are obsessed with Geno, he's such a minor character.
 
Square isn't just going to give Geno to them, they're gonna want cash. Even so it really doesn't matter since I don't see how they could make Geno work in a current Mario game.
 
I don't care unless the game developers give Baby Luigi the opportunity to kick his butt

I have no idea why they're obsessed but what you're saying is that's like saying "GET OVER HIM ALREADY" to Baby Luigi for me

At least the ugly baby is playable in a few more games than Geno. Plus, he plays a much more important role in representing Mario than Geno.

As far as im concerned geno is pretty worthless and just not very interesting. I like the design sure but he never really appealed to me in the slightest.

Hell id rather see the babies and i dont even like them.

I think he's cool but I think people should at least stop asking for him in Smash Bros. He was only in one game of the Mario series,I don't think he deserves it.

There have been very few exceptions though.

You have to make two things clear : what happened to Geno, and what do you wish to happen to Geno in the future.

Your surmise sounds like that Geno didn't have more things to do because SE owns him. The surmise itself is weird in two points: one is Geno never appears in any other SE games (including ones made with Nintendo) like Banjo and Conker. If he had became an important regular in FF games, nothing to complain.
The second is, like many others said, even if SE didn't make this game, now all RPG characters face difficulties of making a second appearance in Mario games.

More seriously, Geno was a kind of character very similar with Tippi that can't fit in more stories due to their important destinies. It's okay if you pick Mallow or others, but picking Geno only sounds like you want to favor him no matter how things are.


Honestly, I don't like the fact that Geno is always referred. Not only showing one kind of partiality, but just making him more and more infamous in forum discussion.

They weren't any more or less boring than some of the average drones they've used in the spin-offs as of late.
