Mario and Luigi stepped out into the hallway uneasily. There was a sense of unease about the facility despite their hypnosis, and it stuck to their conscious like a leech.

Just as they were about to continue down the seemingly endless corridor, a figure suddenly dropped from the ceiling. Mario and Luigi jumped backwards in surprise at the flowery figure from before. "C'mon, I'm busting you guys out of here," he said. Vine tendrils extended from his rose arms, and with them he dragged the "brothers" down the hallway to Poochy knows where.

An alarm began to sound. Roserade picked up his pace. All that the brothers could wonder was, where are they going?

Feel free to pick it up.

I'll pick it up once I'm on my computer. It's a lot easier to type with that.

Roserade, still clutching onto the brothers with his tendrils, sprinted as fast as possible toward a nearby door with an emergency exit sign above it. As soon as they reached it, Roserade put as much weight as possible onto the handle and opened the door.

"Hope you enjoy the breeze," he told the brothers as he brought them through a windy island beach to a small structure that looked somewhat like a cabin or cottage. He opened the door, setting the brothers down on the floor. Also inside the cabin was the person from the simulator, still wearing the same sweatshirt; however, this time the person appeared to be in some sort of Yoshi form. None of the others knew if this was permanent or not, but they didn't really care.

"What...what was that for?" Luigi asked, still seemingly scared from the simulator he had played before.

"That whole operation going on was being run by an underground corporation who was trying to turn all humans into video game characters. That's why we all look like different species; we've all been turned into video game characters." Roserade turned to the Yoshi with the sweatshirt. "You can explain more."

"Yes, I can. I was there for a few years before I found out about the whole thing going on. Fortunately, I got a good outcome since I got turned into a shapeshifter, but others...not so much. Some of them were turned into living plants, some of them were turned into inanimate objects. Mostly what they were focusing on for now was characters from a series named after you." He pointed at Mario. "For example, remember the ghosts you were fighting in that game, Luigi?"

"Yes..."

"Those are called Boos, and you might even find some of them around here. Don't worry though; I'm sure they're pretty nice. Anyway, I get why you're scared. Not being able to remember your life before is probably really hard when you're trying to figure out what you're doing now. And anything the dinosaur told you about why you were there? It was a lie. He's the one behind this whole operation in the first place. He has a drug that inflicts permanent amnesia so he can tell you what to believe and you won't know better. I figured out that the drug is actually completely illegal too; it was nixed by the FDA a long time ago. No one knows how he turns people into characters though. He drugs you after you're turned into whatever it is. I can't think of anything else to mention other than that the human with the turtle shell is with us too, but we don't know where he is."

"And me?" The red Yoshi spoke up.

"You can talk?" Mario responded in shock.

"Of course I can. Look at J-Fred over there. The only reason I couldn't talk back at the place was that if I did, they would take away my ability to talk. But you should probably know I came from the ISS."

"What's that?" Luigi questioned.

"The International Space Station. I was the manager before I was brought back down here to be turned into what I am now." The Yoshi sat down.

"Do we know why the dinosaur is trying to turn people into video game characters?" Roserade asked.

"Nope. Unfortunately we don't know his reasons, only his actions." J-Fred said.

"We should try to have this guy taken down, I think."

"You know what, Roserade? I agree."

I started to pull a WatchMojo towards the end and ran out of ideas, so if someone wants to pick it up, please do.

Am I allowed to contribute a new part? I don't think I'm as good at story telling as you, Roserade or Luigi 64DD, but I wanted to contribute a part to the story.

This is the attempt I made, It continues from Spinosaurus' lab. I had an idea where the story would switch between Spinosaurus, Koops and SGoW, and J-Fred, Roserade, Luigi 64DD, Yoshi the SSM and Mario.

Spinosaurus' Lab

"I'm not to sure whether that door should be open or not." Koops said as he walked down the hallway with the Dinosaur and the Masked Guy.

"Of course it shouldn't be open!" the Dinosaur roared, "Nobody is allowed to be released until they're certain that they are a video game character!"

"So they just escaped, that doesn't seem right." Koops replied, "Surely someone must of helped release them out of here, right?"

"This place can only be locked and unlocked by staff, so the only person to have released them would've been working here."

"But who did it? We can't leave this question unanswered! I don't like leaving questions unanswered!" The Masked Guy added.

"There must be some way to find out who did it," Koops mumbled to himself "Spinosaurus, do you have anyway of seeing what just happened? Possibly using something like security cameras?"

"No, I wasn't expecting anybody to do this. I guess we should just leave this for now."

"Koops, Shy Guy on Wheels," Spinosaurus said, "get back to what you were doing before the alarm went off."

SGoW and Spinosaurus walked off, but Koops was still standing there, staring at something.

A single red petal.

Stuck in the door frame.

He leaned over and picked it up.

Then, he started running.

"Wait a second!" He shouted, "I found something!"

The bold title at the top should state the location, so when it switches between characters, it's easier to know.

What if anyone from their group could write from their group's perspective, if that makes any sense?

Spinosaurus said:
I like how this thread basically became a story-telling thread.

I mean it's still pretty fun to write a story, even if it's in a forum games thread.

What's weird though is the fact that this is the "last person to post wins" thread.

Now about SGoW's continuation of the story, didn't J-Fred stated I was a good guy, or is part of the suspense?

We should call this tale "The Last Person". I'll write the best part when I get home from school/have free time at school.

I would write another part, but A I have stuff to do and B I think other people should try to add in their parts.

I don't remember him ever stating that, and I just checked back through the posts to make sure. Of course, if you want to be a good guy, then I can change what happens next.

EDIT: I won't write another part today, but I might tomorrow.

I had it in mind that we would think he was a good guy but he actually wasn't.

Going to go do homework, be back to write another part later.

I think I will contribute some

Back Outside
Yoshi says, "Um, you guys. I have all the evidence that we need."
J-Fred says, "How? Didn't you lose your memory as well?"
Yoshi says, "I wouldn't have been assigned to this place if I didn't know that people that were brought in there lost all their memories, even their identities. According to my petals, I know for sure they are turning people to video game characters."
Roserade said, "Petals? Why petals?"
Yoshi says, "I had to improvise. Found these in a simulated game meant for Daisy. Pretty strange since they are red and the flowers are orange. Also, one has been spotted and is now going to be investigated. It will lead back to me. Just like last time. Don't ask want happened last time. They thought they removed my memory a second time to be sure I don't do it again. This means that I should stay out here. I should mention that I made the petals robots but keep their appearance. Go in and work with them to gain as much info as possible. Be sure to remain hidden. I only brought two things that help me keep my memory when I came, so please be careful."

Hesitantly, Roserade and J-Fred dragged themselves outside to go back into the facility and find some things out. "I'm still confused about the whole situation. Why are they trying to turn people into video game characters? Why are they drugging people so they don't remember their past? Why is the one guy a dinosaur?" J-Fred threw out a bunch more questions.

"I hate to say it but I don't know the answer to a lot of those," Roserade replied. "We should probably just trust Yoshi and go back in."

"But I'm not exactly the stealthiest person there is..."

"Don't worry. You can do all the talking. They think you're a human, so if you go in like you are now, they won't suspect anything."

"How do you know that?"

"I know how thought processes work."

"Okay, but if we get caught..." J-Fred didn't finish his statement. The two stayed silent for the rest of the walk back to the facility, until they came up to a back door with a sign over it. The sign read simply, "Keep Out," but seeing as they needed information and couldn't get it if they didn't go in, they opened the door and went inside. They found what seemed to be some sort of office, probably intended to only be accessed by the person who worked in it.

"What is that?" Roserade pointed to a small test tube.

"Don't quote me on this, but it's probably his test tube with the drug that inflicts amnesia."

"That probably means there's more of it somewhere. We should find it and destroy it."

"Destroy it how? Drink it? We can't do that?"

"We'll find a way."

Suddenly, the door on the other side of the room began to shake. Roserade swiftly grabbed J-Fred and lunged into an airduct using his vines. In walked Spinosaurus, looking around the room. Finally, he found the test tube and grabbed it in his scaly claw. "It's time for another to join the ranks," he said, and exited the way that he came.

Roserade dropped back down, J-Fred behind him. Roserade inspected the floor. "The test tube is dribbling," he observed, looking at the trail it left out of the door.

"That'll lead us right where we need to go."

This is great. I think I'm gonna add some more.

Back in the cabin, Luigi and Mario waited as Roserade and J-Fred invaded the facility. Yoshi had gone out to keep a lookout for anybody coming from the direction of the facility. Despite being convinced that they were brothers, Mario and Luigi had not gotten to know each other very well, so they hung around in silence, only occasionally exchanging a few awkward words. Luigi looked up at Mario, but he was staring out the window, seemingly entranced in his own thoughts. Not wanting to bother him, Luigi began mulling over the events of the day. "This dinosaur... what does he want? Why does he need me? Where was I before he found me?" Luigi tried to remember his life before this ordeal, but every time, he couldn't think back any farther than that light shining in his eyes. Sighing, he wished he had woken up somewhere else; somewhere peaceful, where there weren't any mysteries. But, that's not what had happened. This was the reality he was in.
And he could do nothing to change that.
Glancing back up at Mario, Luigi observed that Mario was still deep in thought. However, Luigi spoke up this time.
"Mario?" he said.
Mario looked as if he had been suddenly pulled out of another world. "Yeah?"
"If we're to believe these people, we aren't really brothers like the dinosaur said, are we?"
"I suppose not."
Luigi continued on. "Well, I don't remember anything from before all this, and I'm sure you don't either. This is all so confusing. But I think we should stick together. We don't know who to trust, and who knows what's really going on. But I get the feeling you're a pretty decent guy. So let's just try to figure all this out together. We'll have a better chance that way than being alone. Whattya think?"
Mario looked at Luigi thoughtfully. "I think you're right."
"Great." Luigi stood up, walked to the chair that Mario was sitting in, and held out his hand. "Deal?"
Mario grasped Luigi's hand and firmly shook it. "Deal."
Luigi sat down again, and they started conversing as if they were brothers.

"Yeah, science! That's so great! Can you let go of me, please? Those are kinda my lungs..." J-Fred managed to get out while his breath was restricted.

"Oops, sorry." Roserade let go. "But yeah, you can tell where he's going quite obviously. My guess is he doesn't know that, so if we follow it, he won't know we're there. All we'll need is something to hide behind when he leaves the room he's going to and we should be okay."

"What, though? This whole hallway is nothing but doors and readers. We'll get spotted like that."

"You forget I can grab onto the steel beams on the ceiling."

"Just as long as you don't have any jet fuel on you."

"Why would I do that, you idiot?"

"I don't know..."

"Just come this way, don't ask questions."

"Sure..." Roserade and J-Fred left the office room and went into the hallway. They followed the drips all the way to a door where they stopped for a second.

"Sounds like he's still working in there, so we should be okay. Hold on tight! Roserade held onto J-Fred with one vine and grabbed the ceiling with another. "And now we wait."

Little bit shorter, but I'm tired. Don't blame me for being tired :P

On the other side of the door, there was a scream. Roserade grimaced and gritted his teeth. J-Fred's face paled.

Eventually, the screaming came to a halt, the door opened, and Shy Guy walked out. J-Fred caught a gasp in his throat as he noticed the blood splattered across Shy Guy's front.

Shy Guy looked around the hallway. "Now, which door is the—"
His sentence was interrupted by the Poison Sting impaling his neck. The poison quickly taking effect, he toppled to the floor, where Roserade and J-Fred landed beside him. Roserade knocked him over onto his back and peered closer at the liquid.

"Is it blood?" J-Fred timidly whispered.

"Can't tell, and there isn't any way I'm tasting it," Roserade replied. He looked up and peered into the room. "It's too dark to see in there," he stated. "But we should go in."

"Are you kidding me? The place has no light, Shy Guy comes out with blood on him, and you want to go in like it's nothing? If you want to, go ahead, but it's gonna take quite a lot to convince me to go in with you," J-Fred said forcefully.

"If you stay out here, you could get caught."

"I'm going in."

"I don't get you..." Roserade and J-Fred went into the dark room. Conveniently on the wall was a light switch, which J-Fred's first inclination was to flip, but Roserade told him not to. They felt around for a few minutes and came up empty except the metal table that everyone in the facility had woken up on until Roserade felt a set of drawers. "You should come over here."

"If I knew where you were, I would." J-Fred held his arm out and tried to feel around for the drawers. "Found them."

"I think you can go flip the light on now."

"Got it." While J-Fred was turning on the light, Roserade was opening some drawers. "Found anything interesting?"

"I have, actually. Come here."

I like letting other people fill in the details, okay Roserade?

I think I'll pick it up.

Suddenly, the door opens and a guy the two recognize gets in.

"Oh... h..hey.... GUYS! What're you doing here?"
"Koops, you just jump-scared me! We're looking for information!"
"Which by the way, I found some here!" Roserade said proudly, as he got out some files from the drawer.

All three of them read the files. Just then, comes unnoticed a dinosaur. It was Spinosaurus. He puts both of J-Fred and Roserade to sleep.

"Nice work into distracting them!" Spinosaurus said to his assistant. "Now let's get them into the other room! They will no longer remember anything they saw!"
"So what do we do about SGoW?"
"I have no concerns about what will happen to him. Do whatever you want!"

Koops stared at Spinosaurus for a second.

"Alright."

Spinosaurus walks out of the room with Roserade and J-Fred in his hands. Koops leans towards SGoW's body, saying:
"I should probably do something about him."

The poisoned Shy guy is transported to another room.

I think that'll do it.

"Wait! No! Don't do this! I can explain!" J-Fred piped up. "I'm a light sleeper, if you didn't know. Anyway, the reason we're here is to SCREW YOU BILLY!" J-Fred held up a quick middle finger. He stuck out his long Yoshi tongue and used it to hold the dinosaur in place. He got up and found some metal wire on a nearby table and tied Spino's hands behind his back.

"Wait, what are you doing? Let me go!"

"No, I'm sorry, I can't do that," J-Fred replied while he got some more metal wire. "What I can do is this!" He tied the metal wire sound the dinosaur's legs. "Now, just take some of this,
and have a nice nap! I'm sure you need after all the work you've done lately." He took a large needle full of anesthesia and put it into the dinosaur's arm. J-Fred grabbed Roserade, who had still been asleep on the table, and got out of the room they were in,
going back to the office from before. He set down Roserade, who had just then woken up, and said "I got it under control. Let's look for stuff."

"Ugh... so sleepy..."

"Don't worry about that. I got this. I'll see if there's any important paperwork or anything in these drawers." J-Fred only had to open one drawer. "And what do you know. I found something."

Meanwhile, Mario and Luigi and Yoshi are hanging out on the beach.

"What're we supposed to do already? Quickly asked Luigi, Aren't we supposed to look for any sort of information?"
"There's nothing you can find here. I've been there much before you, said Yoshi"
"Y'know what? This is our past memories we're talking about! Shouldn't WE do something about it?"
"Let J-Fred and Roserade handle it. These guys are experts at finding information, I'll tell ya!"

The "Mario bros" thought for a second. They then realize that they needed everyone that's one their side to succeed into doing what they wanted to do. Then, out of nowhere, Roserade and J-Fred appear.

"Everyone! We found something!"

Roserade shows everybody some sort of files about dinosaurs.

"We found this in his office, continued Roserade, this could be why Spinosaurus is turning people into video game characters!"

Yoshi looks around a while.

"Say, where is Koops? Have you seen him yet?"
"Well, yes, but we don't know what happened with him. But I'm pretty sure I heard Spinosaurus talk to him, replied J-Fred."
"Weird....."

They stop talking for a minute, but then Roserade suddenly remembered something.

"Oh yeah! We also saw something suspicious! SGoW was there, and he had some sort of red luiquid spattered all over him. It looked like actual BLOOD!"
"Okay... This got a whole lot creepier, Yoshi spit out of fear."

Two seconds then, A shell is seen dashing in their way. A head and arms and legs come out of it.

"Hey guys! Check this out!"

He got out a red petal, and Roserade quickly recognizes it as one of his.

"There's a weird substance on this thing! Does any of you have an idea of what it is?"

That's everything I came up with. It's up to you to decide what's in the dinosaur files.

J-Fred piped up, "Could it be the mind-control serum?"

"Possibly," Roserade responded. He looked down at the file. "But I think this will tell us everything we need to know."

He took out a paper and set it down upon the ground, using a rock as a paperweight. The six crowded around the paper and began to read.

"Holy crap," Koops said when he reached the bottom. Mario and Luigi's jaws dropped. "Spinosaurus was converted too!" Luigi stated.

"And he wants to return to his human state as A51_Trooper," Roserade grimly added.

"I didn't know they were harvesting energy from us." Mario looked over his body for any sign of puncture.

"That's why you were so dazed." Roserade picked up the petal once more. "Take a sniff," he said.

J-Fred smelled the petal, then took a step back. "Oh Poochy," he said. "My head's getting fuzzy."

"Exactly. They made you guys tired with this substance so that you would be easier to brainwash. By keeping you in the facility, Spinosaurus could harvest your energy as he wished. Who knows how much energy he's already received. He might already be beginning his transformation."

The red Yoshi took the petal and smelled it. He didn't seem to be affected by it. The petal pull out its legs and looked like a robot too. Red Yoshi says, "So these are your petals, Roserade? I was wondering why they were red and not orange. You were in that room the day before I was. I just called all of the robots to go to the generator room. Oh no! This is bad if what you say is true. The generator is powering up. This means that it will be used soon. And since there is no black out, that means it is going to be used to change him back. But, from what I am understanding, it will take a lot to turn someone to their original state. My robots can't do anything about the generator. So, we must go back in. From there, we can determine how long we can stop the machine. And Koopd Guy, stay out here. I don't exactly trust you. And with no way to contact ISS, we may be going in there and might have our memories wiped. So we must be careful, otherwise we might just delay the inevitable."
