Visit www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct tomorrow, Oct. 1, at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET for a Nintendo Direct focused on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games launching later this year.

I'm going with the expectation of new screenshots and videos and nothing more. That way I can either not care that nothing important happened or I can be pleasantly surprised.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that Sakurai hasn't posted a smash pic yet? Maybe he's just late, or he's waiting for something to be announced. It's probably just wishful thinking.

Are you talking about the daily update on smashbros.com?

Four events are playable online: Ski Cross, Snowboard Cross and Short Track Speed Skating, in addition to Winter Sports Champion Race, a Dream Event that combines Skiing, Ice Skating, Bobsleigh and Snowboard into a single event. Every time players win a medal in online game play, they will win points for their home country. The points can be viewed through persistent online rankings. So... no Mario Kart 8 news? :(

Additional content for Kid Icarus Uprising? Yes! I love that game!

I wonder what kind of content it is...

I knew that Sonic was going to be announced for SSB4 at some point, and including Windy Hill is a nice touch.

All we need now is Pac-Man so we can have Mario vs Sonic vs Mega Man vs Pac-Man.

Also, that cherry powerup reminds me of that SMB Dual Dash fangame to an extent.

There is a Nintendo Direct announced for 11:00AM EST tomorrow, focusing mainly on 3DS games for this year.

Is it bad that the main reason I get excited for these is the possibility of a new Smash character?

not really, that's basically the only reason I do too.

(that and i can't watch them anyway)

Maybe now we'll get the SSB Pokemon reveal that people expected in October? It's a Nintendo direct based on 3DS games. So obviously a 3DS game related reveal would be done if there is one. And Pokemon X&Y is a possibility. And even though it hasn't been too long since Marth was revealed. It didn't take too long after Toon Link was revealed to put up Sonic, even if he could of have been just a special case.
