This and Margaret from Persona 4 are the reasons Atlus games should be feared everywhere.

On topic, optional bosses are awesome if done right, and I prefer this to extend the games' length than extreme padding

quite frankly atlus games should be feared anyway, especially the smt series, as there are some seriously hard battles in that series.
