The spotpass (ganrel, emmeryn, walhort etc) characters from fe13 always felt useless for me as they can't support with anyone except the mu and my fe 13 play-style relies heavily on s support pairs, so they can't find a place with my main units.

Plus you get access to them at the very end, which while makes sense, means they have very little use in the game.
