No "gosh, can't tell if it's extremely retarded or extremely brilliant" entry?

Well, there is a thing called Fridge Logic. There is an entry about this, located under Fridge Brilliance:

And in Mario Party 5, notice that DK has his own space and this is the only game where he sometimes stops Bowser when someone lands on a Bowser space with a punch. And in said game, it takes place in the land of dreams and wishes, so DK's wish is to help people.

Even better, in Mario Party 2 his bio states he thinks he can take Bowser in a fight.

Which explains why DK's favoured item is the Bowser Bomb...

The "Bullying a Dragon" entry from the Mario Party article:
An AI-controlled Donkey Kong in 2 will repeatedly go for the Bowser Bomb in item games, because he apparently believes he can take on Bowser himself. But unless he has the most stars at the end of the game, he cannot.

Expect to lose coins (Bowser takes his own turn on the board at the end of the turn in which the Bowser Bomb is won, with a triple dice block; he bankrupts any player he runs into on his turn).

Nah, DK's true intent is to help your opponents.

Try playing single player in Mario Party 8. He's the worst enemy you'll have.

I've almost never had issues with DK in Mario Party 8 when my opponents land on his space. It's the Lucky Space that I have issues with.

I've had more issues with DK in Mario Party 7, since when a CPU lands on his space, he'll almost always start a singleplayer game and gives the CPU a star.

Whenever Waluigi moves to a new neighborhood he's obligated by law to notify all the residents.

Yeah, he already notified all residents by the time he's finished mentioning the time. ;)

Bowser isn't as stupid as you might think but he is very emotional and as a result leaps before he looks.

I don't think Bowser is that stupid either. Just hot-headed and so proud he doesn't listen to reasonable advisors that object to him.

Which is why he is actually a freedom fighter for the koopa kind against the tyranny of the evil mario and mushroom folk.

Toad, the specific character, is one of the more heroic Toads. Let's call him THE Toad. He showed his bravery early on in Wario's Woods. True, he has been prone to panicking like the other Toads, but he seems to put his adrenaline to good use. If he doesn't outright take charge of a situation, then he goes straight to Mario. Meanwhile, other Toads seem to just panic aimlessly without really doing anything to help resolve the situation.
This particular Toad was either inside only one castle in Super Mario Bros., or he was in none of them at all. To assume otherwise is absurd.

THE Toad is the same one who hosted Mario Parties 1, 2, and 4. He is the one who is typically playable in most spinoffs, except for a few times. If the Red Toad in a spinoff game is wearing a red jacket instead of a blue one, then he's not THE Toad. THE Toad and Captain Toad are 2 separate characters. THE Toad is not the Blue Toad playable in Super Mario 3D World. THE Toad is Toadette's brother.

Any Mario Kart course named "Toad's [X]" belongs to THE Toad. Any course named "Toad [X]" (without the possessive apostrophe s) is simply a course associated with the species as a whole. Even Toad Circuit.

The Galaxy 1 ending is responible for the little changes that happened to the Mario universe since Galaxy.
Like Peach & Bowser becoming more competent, The Koopalings not being related to Bowser anymore, Toads & Yoshis not having genders anymore, Toad & Captain Toad being separated into two characters. (They were one character before & during the events of Galaxy 1) & many other little changes since then. After all, Rosalina did say that the cycle never really repeats itself, & her other line "You'll see" sorta implies that the changes were not immediate, & that they slowly happened over time.

Edit: I've always saw the koopalings as Bowser's children, just not related to him like they use to before. So i've changed the wording to reflect this better.

Koopa the Quick suffers from dry eye, which is why he blinks so much.

afaik, both still have genders. Nintendo just never got out their way to say explicitly, so gender is up to interpretation, basically.

If Toads dont have genders , then what's the actual point of Toadette's character?

Her primary trait is to be the Smurfette of the Toad community , aka the sole known female .

The concept of Nintendo consoles is entirely absent on Mario characters. All consoles they have ever heard of are PS3's and Xboxes. They believe the Nintendo is a hat company, since Diddy Kong's hat has the logo.

Bowser will never be satisfied.

Alright, some headcanon personalities and such.

Mario and Luigi: Just all-around great guys who want to do what's right for the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario is more generous and humble than Luigi, but is also more likely to act on impulse. Luigi is calmer and more intelligent than Mario, but is also somewhat more arrogant and concerned about money. Although they sometimes miss Brooklyn, they both agree they're better off in the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario's favorite things are food, Princess Peach, and saving the day. Luigi's favorite things are his brother Mario, being the hero (sparingly though it happens), and not ghosts. Definitely not ghosts.

Princess Peach: Peach is a nice ruler, but she's also pretty crazy and a bit of a ditz. Not that she's stupid or anything, just unaware of what goes on outside the castle. Toadsworth is her grandfather on her father's side. Speaking of her father, he's still alive and in charge of most of the legal stuff. Due to his age, however, he doesn't make public appearances anymore. He refuses to abdicate the throne until Peach marries, preferably a king, as long as it's not...

Bowser: Bowser's intense hatred of the Mushroom People stem from several years of racism against Koopas. His father was a kind king who preached equality and non-violence. However, he was assassinated by an unknown creature, and little Bowser blamed the Toads. When he became king, he waged an attack on Toad Town and kidnapped Princess Peach, and the rest is history.

Wario: He's Mario's cousin and friendly rival in sports. The guy's filthy stinking rich due to being CEO of WarioWare, Inc. and an occasional treasure hunter. He's always trying to woo the ladies, with very little success. He's neither good nor evil, and generally does whatever will benefit him directly. He does have a soft spot for a certain purple guy who's coming up next.

Waluigi: Not Wario's brother, but rather a vagrant whom Wario found living in the dumpster behind WarioWare's HQ. Waluigi is a complete loser and an overall unlikable guy. Wario once made a microgame based on Waluigi and it became the worst selling game in WarioWare history. Every single copy was returned and/or destroyed.

In my headcanon, Mario and Luigi agree to take care and responsibility of their baby versions. It happened because Mario and Luigi thought their work in Partners in Time was finished, but Luigi screwed up sending the babies back. It's hard for the two to say if they regret that mistake or not. Mario loves his job, but he's forced to take some time off caring for the kids, and Luigi spends most of the time caring for the kids when Mario's out. But the two like their baby selves as if they're their own kids.

Oh, Mario doesn't LOVE going on adventures because that means time away from plumbing and even his brother sometimes.

Baby Luigi and Baby Mario view Mario like their mother and view Luigi like their father.

Mario is often full of himself and reminds everyone every three minutes that he's the most famous hero in Mushroom Kingdom. His worst nightmare is when he finds himself marrying Wario, but it's not far from living in an alternate reality where virtually no one recognizes him.

One of Bowser's lines in Colour Splash makes me headcanon that Mario and the gang understand Bowser and try to support him when he isn't kidnapping anybody, hence why they are up for a round of Mario Kart or Golf.

The baby characters are playable with their adult counterparts in Mario spinoffs thanks to E. Gadd's time machine.

On a related note, Baby Rosalina didn't have the outfit with the crown when they first brought her to the present, they just dressed her up like that afterwards.

He does.

He's just not as close to her as he is to Luigi (he's as close to Luigi as I am to my sister, and it's really, really close).

Mario also gets crushes on Toadette and Rosalina, which causes major problems for Toad (who also has a crush on Toadette) and Toadette (who likes Mario a lot, but doesn't quite captivate him as Rosalina does). But in reality, Mario hangs out with Toadette the most because Rosalina is busy, much to Toad's irritation.
