they're autistic and trying okay <3

The Birthday Girl is Mario's kart

1. It is red like Mario. If it was really Peach's Kart she would have a pink one.
2. It's in the shape of Mario's shoe
3. Mario looks amazing on this kart
tbf Peach's shoes are red.

Although the Birthday Girl more closely matches Paratroopa's shoes so maybe it's actually his kart.:koopa:

It would fit with my headcanon that I give Paratroopa she/her pronouns

When I replayed Super Paper Mario last year, I did a Fluttershy impression whenever I read Tippi's dialogue. She always ends her sentences with ellipsis, so I assume she speaks gently and quietly, like Fluttershy. It made the entire game so much more engaging for me.

EDIT: This is also because she is a butterfly, and Fluttershy has butterflies for her Cutie Mark, so yeah.

In Super Mario Party, at the beginning of the "Rattle and Hmmm" minigame, Toad says "All right! Pika!"

Don't believe me? Listen for yourself!

There was a Bowser headcanon thread on Reddit that I answered, so I'll go ahead and paste my answer here.

He's a big goofball when he's not being a royal pain to the surrounding nations.

His crush on Peach didn't start developing until a couple kidnappings later.

He lets Mario win. Why else would he put all the axes, buttons, bombs, Rocket Nozzle platforms, etc in his battle arenas? Heck, speaking of the Rocket Nozzle, he's the one who put FLUDD at Delfino Airstrip.

Kidnappings and fighting Mario started being fun for him and his troops, so now they're also a recreational activity and training regimen. He supplies his minions with infinite 1-Up Mushrooms so they can have fun without worry.

The Koopalings and Bowser Jr are all his biological children *dagnabbit*. I'm the world's biggest sucker for sibling teams, and a team of 8? I'll eat that up!

His shell doesn't come off, same with all others in his Koopa subspecies. His shell's spikes automatically retract when he's on his back, like in Galaxy, but he can also manually do it if someone climbs on his back.

Whenever fans try to paint him minions as innocent victims of Mario's merciless slaughter, he gets offended. He and his minions put a lot of effort into being an evil invading army! Show a little respect and stop undermining all their hard work!

In light of events of a few of the RPG (Superstar Saga, Super Paper Mario, Sticker Star, Color Splash, etc) games, Bowser hates mind-control and possession, and refuses to use it. This is why he never invaded Sarasaland, as the army there is so strong that Tatanga was only able to conquer it by using hypnosis on the denizens. Bowser felt a bit violated in Odyssey, but he's too proud to admit it to Mario or Peach.

He has more than one castle, scattered throughout the Darklands. The one everyone actually lives in, he doesn't use for kidnappings. His kids and minions need a roof to sleep under, and can't have that if it gets destroyed!

His father, Morton Koopa I, and his mother were killed in the Shroob invasion, which is when Kamek started raising him.

Bowser still wants to conquer the world and likes causing mischief, which sometimes doesn't involve kidnapping Peach, such is the case in Yoshi Topsy-Turvy and 3D World. And of course the various Mario Party games.

Bowser's army doesnt have that many Boos. He hires most of them out from King Boo (who is a neutral, freelance ghost and separate entity from the Mansion King Boo, but that's another headcanon altogether).

Dry Bowser is just Bowser after taking a dip in lava. Any instance where they are separate entities is just a Duplighost.

"Baby" Bowser is actually a couple years older than the other babies. He also looks like his Melee trophy rather than an exact copy of Bowser Jr. — no horns, big ol' eyebrows and nose, and more than one protruding fang. Still close enough to warrant naming him after his papa.

Bowser still has his magic and does use it occasionally (how do you think he pulls off Bowser Shuffle in Mario Party?) but he heavily prefers to use and show off his brute strength.

It wasn't Bowser's idea to give Ludwig's birthright to Bowser Jr. — it was Ludwig's.

I have a little theory that the Mushroom King and Queen disappeared (Bowser's antics or whatnot) but there is no proof that they died or anything so that is why Peach isn't queen but a princess since her mother may still be alive.
Peach's mom is probably Daisy and her dad is probably Wario. Until they die, she's stuck as princess.

Wario and Waluigi don't live in the Mushroom Kingdom. They live in Sarasaland. Sarasaland is Bizarro Mushroom Kingdom, and Daisy is the actual WaPeach. Wario's microgame fraud operation is in Sarasaland too.

Sarasaland is pretty far from the Kingdom tho. That's why you don't see Wario, Waluigi and Daisy link up much with the Marios outside of sports games.

...Not mah theory persay (got it from a uTube video) but damn it makes a lot of sense.

Based on our experience with Super Nintendo World in Hollywood (and in theme park food in general) me and my sister have this headcanon that Chef Toad is a renowned mediocre chef and his items offer a totally mundane forgettable experience, putting the FINE in fine cuisine!

Here are a list of his mediocre meals or the ingredients that are listed in the menu of these dull dishes. Remember they're not necessarily BAD dishes. Just nothing worth noting.

  • Tolerable Tea
  • Everyday Sundae/Okay Sundae
  • Unexceptional Eggs
  • So-So Soda/So-So Soy sauce
  • Milquetoast milk toast
  • Middling Milk
  • Passable Pastry
  • Bland Berry
  • Boring Beer
  • Average alcoholic beverage
  • Vanilla vanilla
  • Run-of-the-mill pepper mill
  • Pedestrian Pasta
  • Humdrum hummus
  • Ho-hum Honey
  • Forgettable Fries
  • Second-Rate sandwich
  • Second-banana banana
  • Conventional coleslaw
  • Whatever water
  • Characterless chicken
  • Stock Steak
  • Jejune jujube
  • Formulaic fried chicken
  • Predictable pie
  • Passionless passionfruit
  • Common cake
  • Mundane meat
  • Nondescript nuts
  • No Great Shakes Shake
  • Stale Ginger Ale
  • Tedious tilapia
  • Nothing to Write Home About Trout
  • Unremarkable Casserole
  • Standard Stew

I decided to update my age headcanons

:mario:: 24 (iirc this is his actual canon age now and it fits, he's youthful yet still clearly adult, and looks way younger without the stache lol)
:luigi:: 24 (ditto everything i said on Mario cause they twins)
:peach:: 22 (partners in time has Peach unable to move as a baby whereas the baby marios can move just fine, so -2 years seems about right)
:daisy:: 21 (daisy has a slightly more youthful vibe than Peach but the difference is slight, probably like a few months even)
:toad:: 19 (seems much younger than the bros, but he runs Toad Houses and has other adult responsibilities.)
:toadette:: 19 (she's basically girl Toad so same age)
:bowser:: 27 (Baby Bowser seems a bit more developed than the Baby Bros in like, every appearance they have together)
:wario:: 25 (just vibes here, him being marginally older than Mario makes sense to me, I remember Yoshi's Island DS had Baby Wario crawling when Mario couldn't so there's that)
:waluigi:: 25 (to match Wario)
:rosalina:: idk, blame space time fuckery, she could be a million years old for all we know
:yoshi:: 12 (human years)
:bowjr:: 10 (he just feels like a 10 year old douchebag you'd find on fortnite)
Larry: 12 (same as Junior but he's clearly a bit older)
Ludwig: 20 (mature but clearly still young and i imagine the rest of the koopalings are teens so he can't be far ahead of them)

(The other 5 Koopalings are somewhere in between that 13-19 range. I'm still undecided on the exact ages but Roy and Lemmy are both also legal adults (18-19) and the remaining three are minors (13-17).)

Waluigi hates Luigi so much that he figures out Luigi's every move so he can make his life decisions accordingly. Luigi ordered the Taco Bell supreme? Waluigi's getting the chalupa. Luigi drives a Toyota Corolla? Waluigi won't be driving a Toyota Corolla. Luigi wears Calvin Klein underwear? Waluigi won't buy any Calvin Klein underwear. Waluigi was planning on going to the movies today? Change of plans because Luigi is watching a movie. Luigi has filed taxes to the IRS? Better dodge paying taxes, although Waluig has demanded that his money be stored in a different bank than Luigi's money.

Waluigi has even redirected his water pumps to a different municipal source because he doesn't want to drink from the same tap water source that Luigi drinks.

You point out that Luigi is wearing gloves, overalls, and a cap, so why Waluigi doesn't do the same, Waluigi would tell you they're different brands.

You point out that Luigi breathes the same air as Waluigi, Waluigi would say no, because he ridiculously filters his air whenever Luigi is around.

You point out that Luigi is on the same planet as Waluigi. This is why Waluigi is trying to get Luigi expelled from the planet.

The Super Crown turns characters into drag versions of themselves.

You know how there were two Luigi's in Super Mario Galaxy? You know how the opposite of doubling is halving?

You think Waluigi would do something like...?

Waluigi would tell you that Baby Luigi exists so that would just cancel it out

Paper Mario in Mario Land is a known entity in Mario Land, kinda like in Paper Jam, but the storybook Luigi opens up covers the existence of Sticker Star. There are other Paper Mario volumes in the library, and they contain the stories of Paper Mario 64, Paper Mario: Color Splash, and Paper Mario: Origami King. Thousand Year Door and Super Paper Mario are unsanctioned fan works that have a dedicated cult following on the Internet but not really known in the general public.

Paper Mario does exist separate from Mario. While he can vocalize, he has severe tongue issues from flawed paper rendering, making him mute, so he communicates fluently in sign language (when Olivia was around, he had to be careful he didn't accidentally activate the 1,000 Fold Arms while communicating). He's even more polite and naive than flesh Mario, but he's not as much of a dork as flesh Mario. He's an good, eloquent writer himself, and he's the one who provided all the Museum plaque descriptions and he wrote the amusing, slightly sarcastic in-game descriptions in Sticker. The description for Squirt Gun, for instance?
In its current state, this liquid launcher is but a memory of wars long past. But load it with water, and it becomes more terrifying than you can imagine.
He actually wrote that.

If flesh Mario (and probably Luigi) transported to the Paper Mario world, he'd retain his blue eyes, he'd retain the smaller stache, and he'd have his legs. He'd have a visible mouth. Needless to say, he looks more like on-model Mario.

Paper Luigi is much different than flesh Luigi, though. Paper Luigi is much more sarcastic, quippy, and arrogant. He is also a bit more lazy, though he's quite good at organizing parades such as the Thanksgiving Day one when Mario is out. To be fair, unlike flesh Luigi, Paper Luigi has never really been on any real adventures so he's probably has a lot of pent up bitterness, though nothing truly ill will for Paper Mario. However if you're nice to him he'll tell you why Paper Mario has developed muteness.

Paper Bowser is seen as a once threatening villain but he lost a lot of bite after the events of the first volume, and so he generally is much more of a threat when there's external forces corrupting him, see black paint and sticker shenanigans. He doesn't understand sign language very well, so he usually misunderstands Paper Mario's commands and assumes Paper Mario is okay with the kidnappings. Attempted kidnappings anyway.

Paper Peach is not all that different from flesh Peach but, she's much quieter than flesh Peach, and she lets most of the Toad administration do the work for her. She's even more vulnerable than flesh Peach since the universe still hasn't caught up to the idea that maybe she should be a supporting protagonist and not a damsel in distress. She has no idea Princess Daisy is an actual thing, but she's fantasized about having a sister. She loves cooking even more than flesh Peach, having learnt her techniques from Tayce T. (who speaks in a southern accent). Everyone seems to have learned bit from her, even Paper Luigi. If Paper Peach wasn't kidnapped and possessed that much, Paper Mario would eventually catch up one day...

had to turn it into a tumblr post, but here is my headcanoned voice for ten! looking for more of a sophisticated gay than a flamboyant gay that translates the unique flair of his japanese va. this is pretty much perfect to my vision honestly minus the british accent slipping in too harsh at times but it's a real-time dub made by three dudes doing a lets play on youtube with just 100 subscribers im not gonna fault em for that lolol
