Huh... Well, I did want to just get what was on my mind out there... Maybe it would have inspired some insightful discussions about what it means to like something, or what's good vs. what people like, but I guess that was too much to hope for here. It's kind of sad to see people be disrespectful about that on this forum.

I mean, if I went on a topic, and someone made an incredibly long post, I'd either try to read the post, get a general idea of what the topic is about before saying anything, or just not bother posting on the topic at all! I wouldn't come on to a topic to say "Dude, that post is took like, I'm not reading that!" THAT is stupid, because it adds NOTHING, it's little more then spam. If you don't care about what I have to say, why should we care that you don't care about what I have to say?

Well that's just it, how CAN we be sure of what's truly "a good movie" or "a good video game" or "a good whatever" when EVERYTHING is subject to opinion? Why even have critics when people are just going to like what they like and damned be anyone who says otherwise? A movie/game/TV show/book/whatever can be the the epitome of what it means to make a bad movie/game/TV show/book/whatever, and yet there will still be SOMEONE who genuinely enjoyed it for whatever reason, and who's to say they're wrong for liking it?

This is what I was getting at with my original post, but apparently people are more interested in saying "oh geez, I'm not reading that shit, better post on the topic to say I'm not bother reading it because it's incredibly important to make sure everyone knows how not-interested I am in this"!
