Mario Study

Hello everyone,

we are currently conducting a research study on player behavior in Super Mario and are searching for volunteers who would like to participate. Participation is anonymous and requires filling out a short questionnaire and playing a couple of levels.

If you are interested in participating please visit the study's website at http://bit.ly/13vs2BD where you can also find more information. If there are any questions or concerns please let me know.

Many thanks in advance!

Took a while to get it working, but it was quite fun once I did.

Is there some sort of policy on .ly links or something?

Doesn't this count as advertising?

.ly links are included in advertising, aren't they?

Just looked it up and I know adf.ly counts as advertising because users are getting money when the links are clicked upon. Not sure about bit.ly

why would there be a problem with .ly links when all they are is the top level domain for libya

I'm pretty sure it's still advertising if he posts a link to a different site and says "hey come do this for me" or "hey do this thing for me"

I played the game and why it is taking too long to load? Also this game is too easy for me. It will be alot easier if I use NES controller.

Kinda cool that folks doing Mario research would come to our forum for participants. Looking at the e-mail in the study, you're from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna? I'm just wondering, will the wiki/forum be credited at all in the paper as a resource pool? (Or even as a source of info if you're planning to cite our articles at all?)

Thanks to everyone who has participated so far.

We don't receive any money from bit.ly if somebody clicks on the link. If you feel the post does not comply with the board rules and is considered as advertisement please remove it and accept my apologies.

@Walkazo: This is a joint project with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. The study deals with how players behave in the game. If we use information from your articles then they will of course be cited. We can also acknowledge the forum.
