Steven Universe

SO, this new episode

-hour long with commercials, so it'll be the length of 4 regular episodes

-new gem

-YELLOW AND BLUE DIAMOND IN ACTION

and this is all in one episode. if this isn't the last season, I don't know what is

great episodes all around
although god why end it on such a cliffhanger

will lars and steven fuse olol

oh, i didn't even know Steven universe was still having new episodes

i think I'm pretty behind

Caught up with all the episodes including the leaked one(s) before I get spoiled by more porn showing officially unrevealed characters.

Can't wait 2 years for the conclusion to the cliffhanger.

Yes, I know there are more episodes shortly after.

still making my way through the new episodes but i gotta say the good lars is probably one of my favorite episodes in a while

yeah plus
it sets up some important emotional stuff for when steven and lars are stuck together

people who hated the townie episodes in this bomb didnt understand that they were all there to refamiliarise us with the characters before they were abducted

The good lars is the best ep of the bunch

lars can be a really inconsistent character but i feel like this episode really got at the heart of the "loner who can't really express his feelings" that they're trying to go for

i just wish the ending hadn't been compromised for plot reasons but overall i feel extremely happy with how the writing was handled

i also loved how they handled sadie, though she's always been one of the best characters on the show anyway

By far the most shocking scene for me was when Aquamarine threatened to kill Steven's friends and Topaz put her hand on Jamie's head. Before in the show, we have been faced with the possibility of death, but it was always with gems. Gems can regenerate their bodies if their gem is untouched,
and even just the thought of shattering never resonated with me as much as that moment. While we do grow attached to gems, they are still gems. Not humans. Death has never been handled like that on Steven Universe and it caught me off guard.

Cookie Cat: Now available nowhere

OH NO

aaaaaa that was a beautiful set of episodes

honestly the mature beats that were hit are almost reminiscent of avatar in their execution. Jet's death in particular is what id compare the events in Off Colors

plus the whole exposing of a greater conspiricy with Pink Diamonds shattering that reminds me of the Ba Sing Se brainwashing etc

Honestly for a show that takes 24 episodes to reach its most dramatic developments I can never fault it when it finally reaches them

And I loved the new gems, Zircons as the law and order type gems are hilarious. Rutile, Flourite and the other off colours are lovely characters, In particular the pink sapphire whose name i cant remember had the best comedic timing of any character so far

And then Lars fucking dies and comes back and Woop lions origin revealed. Beautiful ending to this arc and now theres an endgame kinda in sight with the greater Pink Diamond conspiricy

so is it possible at all to shave lars's hair off and use that as a portable portal of portability

also I love the off-colors so much. I don't particularly care for rhodonite, but everyone else on the island of misfit gems were probably the highlights for the second half of wanted

I liked the special, blue Zircon's scenes were pretty good and it was nice seeing more of the diamonds.

But I really, REALLY hope there is more to that Pink Diamond shattering mystery than just "Rose was framed and is 100% innocent after all". I liked the twist that Rose killed Pink Diamond because it introduced an unexpected aspect of her character and made her struggle really interesting. I commended them for touching that subject the way they did. If all is undone and that aspect of Rose's character/story is done away with, I am going to be very disappointed.

I'm hoping it will turn out she still shattered Pink Diamond, but we learn that there were complicating circumstances that left no other possible way to resolve the situation. Something that Steven may not 100% agree with, but be able to at least make peace with and forgive his mother.

In other news, it seems like we finally know what happens when two gems with the same gem placement fuse.

also shoutout to the line "so i was... away from life?"

an innocent teenager dying of blunt force trauma?

the word "dead"?

This is also really strange because they have definitely alluded to death before.

So many people are jumping on the "Yellow Diamond did it!" bandwagon, but I don't buy it. It just seems too obvious. This is Rebecca Sugar we're talking about.

I'm wondering whether Pink got shattered at all. After all, Blue said Rose used her sword, which was explicitly designed to poof gems without shattering them. Even if Pink did get shattered, where are her shards? Maybe she just got poofed and bubbled instead, and a rumor just grew.

I even got to thinking... what if Pink Diamond's shards or bubbled gem is in that mysterious chest inside Lion's mane?

I'm thinking... what if Pink Diamond LET Rose defeat her, for whatever reason? Perhaps Pink began to see what Rose saw in the earth, but she knew that this would cause a revolt. So in order to protect the most gems, she conspired with Rose sacrificed herself. This would explain how Pink let Rose get so close to her in order to defeat her, supposedly.
This was the only way I could think of that would explain how Rose got so close to Pink, and how she got Pink to step out of her palanquin, and I like to think it also helps explain the sword. It was all part of the plan.

This might be old news, but apparently there's a Steven Universe video game due to be released this summer. The game's name is Save the Light, and it's a sequel to the SU mobile game Attack the Light

It's an RPG, supposedly taking inspiration from Paper Mario and other colorful RPGs, with a story written by Rebecca Sugar herself.

Right now it seems like releases for the PS4 and Xbox One are planned. I'm crossing my fingers for a PC port, because I don't want to buy a new console for one game.

I'm really confused. I've finished I am My Mom and I heard from some people that it's the newest episode, but other people say there's more after it?

My thoughts are that I wish youtube would stop spoiling shit for me.

Also it would be nice if the episodes actually came out.

Yeah, that's why I used a
spoiler box
to hide the spoilers. For me though personally, as long as the ending and/or other major plot points aren't completely spoiled, I'm fine with it, but each to their own. I'll try not to be a spoilsport.
Like for example, a real spoiler for me would be the reason why Lars was laughing before telling Emerald that she "really does have a heart," being leaked. The clip alone is already a bit of a spoiler, but any more information about that clip would be where I draw the line for spoilers.
Anyways, I hope the time is because the developers are making sure that the episodes are entertaining. I hear that there may be an episode airing on the 25th(I wanna say in Southeast Asia), but chances are
Judging from the alleged title, it is probably just going to be a townies episode.

Not entirely sure if you're having a bit of fun at my expense there with the many spoiler boxes, but I wasn't berating your post. I was referring to the fact that youtube keeps putting videos with spolier-tastic thumbnails and titles into my recommendations, and how it is annoying me greatly.

I don't really mind townie episodes, I only dislike it when they take place in a separate, gem-free bubble, where the episode either has all gems absent and inconsequential, or the gems are only used as one-dimensional props to enable Steven's solo adventure instead of featuring as actual characters. I'd like if these kinds of episodes had the human aspect and the gem aspect of Steven's life intermingle more. I think there's some great potential in allowing someone like Pearl or Peridot into a human-centric episode. Unfortunately, that has been the exception rather than the norm.

That said, I think the next episode being town-centric is necessary. You're not going to get around discussing Sadie, considering what happened to Lars. It would be odd not to show how this is going to affect her. Ditto for Lars' parents. I'm actually kind of looking forward to this one, because it seems like this will be one of those instances where the two halves of Steven's life collide.
