Donkey Kong
I figured we would have a thread for confirmed assist trophies and one for speculation.

In this thread, we'll discuss the revealed assist trophies and wonder what they'll do. The other thread will be for ideas for other assist trophies.

Confirmed Assist Trophies:
Skull Kid
Nintendog
Starfy
Ashely
Mother Brain
Waluigi
Andross
Metroid
Color TV Games 15
Dark Samus
Dr. Wright
Elec Man
Isabelle
Lyn
Knuckle Joe
Midna
Saki
Samurai Goroh
Devil
Chain Chomp
Dillon
Phosphora
Shadow
Tingle
Hammer Bro.
Lakitu and Spinys
Magnus
Takamaru
Prince Sable
Nightmare Wizard
Ghirahim

Okay, Skull Kid is the first one revealed. I have a feeling the moon will be involved somehow. Maybe to comes down from the sky a la Snorlax.

Dang, I hadn't even thought about what Pokeballs and Assist Trophies would be in it.

Did anywhere specifically say Skull Kid was an Assist Trophy?

I don't visit Reddit either, and I rarely check the official site

Sorry if that came off mean, I was just saying that I don't really use those.

Nintendog's back.

Dear lord I hated Nintendog

The only thing good about it was taking pictures of it and Wario turning into a star

I'm a little disappointed that Starfy won't be a playable character this time around (about as disappointed as the fact that there hasn't been any new Starfy games in years), but I have to admit, Skull Kid and Ashley look awesome!

Pretty dissapointing that Skull Kid isn't a playable character.

eh. i personally don't see how you'd get a good moveset out of him.

Mother Brain
I just realized, aside from a Sticker in Brawl, Mother Brain, despite being a major character in the Metroid series, has never appeared in the Super Smash Bros. series before now.

not really surprised to be honest.

metroid has really been the lowest of nintendos main games, plus its harder to work with since before mp2/3 and other m there werent many characters to put in for the metroid side.

Now that nintendo has proven they will change size for certain characters like bowser for instance, ridley has a chance and dark samus is different enough from the regular version to have more things representing the series.

At least thats what i think anyway.

What was that thing in the background of the Brinstar stage then?
