Listening to the radio, trying to think of something to eat for lunch, rearranging my stuffed animal collection, trying to convince myself not all therapists are bad, and just thinking about random things.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. The only part I liked more in Despicable Me 2 was El Macho, because that sequence where Gru is describing him is just epic.

Gru, my favorite character in the franchise, kind of takes a backseat with his only real character development coming from the romantic interest. Which pales in comparison to the original's character development.
 
I liked them both equally
the first was so thick with character development, the second I felt didn't need it so much
