If didn't want something I made to be criticized I wouldn't take the risk by releasing it to the public. And if I thought criticism was impossible and everyone would love it, then no matter how good it actually was, I'd be kind of a butt. Not saying that's what happened here but it's pretty much one or the other in media: Be ready to be criticized, or be kind of a butt. If Yami's an example of the former, good for her.
