Super Bowl Commercials

Talk about the Super Bowl commercials.

My favorites were Radio Shack and Dannon. My least favorite was Go Daddy.

I'd post some of the commercials, but I'm on mobile.

If you go to the mobile version of youtube, just copy the link anyways, then go back here, and swap out the http://m.youtube.com/*video linke* with http://www.youtube.com/*video link*

It always worked for me

I loved the Vollkswagon commercial where "Every time a VW goes over 100,000 miles, a German Engineerer gets his wings". That was great.

One commercial that gets a lot of flak is the Coca-Cola commercial where "America the Beautiful" is sung in different languages.

I didn't like it either. Why would you sing a song about a country if you're going to sing it in a language other than the country's main language? That's disrespectful!

Would you sing the French National Anthem in German? The German National Anthem in Russian?

You got me there, but still.

When someone comes to America, they learn English. It doesn't make sense. If they showed people of all races singing the song in English, I'd like it.

the coca cola commercial was the best one.

PLEASE magikrazy
it's not fucking disrespectful, it's acknowledging that many different languages are spoken in america

Really? Do you walk down the street and hear several different languages? I hear two, max (and the other is almost always Spanish). That's because when you move to a country, you learn the native language, as opposed to expecting people to know what you're saying.

yeah i mean america is only made out of white, english-speaking people right? how dare anyone else try to feel patriotic

you're implying that if the anthem isn't sung in the country's main language, then it is disrespectful

but if you sing it in the country's main language, then aren't you forgetting about the 100 million or so Americans that speak a different language?

Seinfeld Reunion
it felt beautiful

and that coca cola commercial was kinda sweet, kind of offended by people reactions to it
it really feels like political slogans this next election will be something like

"ONLY AMERICANS DESERVE COCA COLA!!! WE RUN AGAINST INTERNATIONAL BRANDING!!!"

There is no "native language" in this country. It's not even the anthem they're singing, btw.

I'm fairly certain it was more of representing coca cola as being a world wide phenomenon
feels like certain Americans decided other countries don't deserve coca cola

you don't live in ny/nj, do you.

you can hear as many as 5 to 10 different languages just by walking down the street for a couple of hours.

i have acquaintances who speak spanish, italian, ukrainian, korean, vietnamese, chinese, hindi, arabic, etc.

that commercial wasn't much of a stretch at all.

^yeah, that's a good point. they're not even singing the anthem, just a song praising america. if people aren't allowed to praise america in language other than english, then i don't know what to say

Well I didn't like it, and you guys did.
Let's leave it at that and talk about the other commercials.

Like I said, the RadioShack commercial was my favorite one. Anyone else agree?

yah, that was great and being Canadian, with radioshack having gone basically out of business in the 80's in Canada, it was even funnier

i liked colbert's commercial

i didn't really see too many cause i stopped watching after that point. i only saw the coke commercial because someone showed it to me
