There is no such thing as a .apng file, in the same fashion as there isn't a .agif file. The extension is always .png, animated or not.Bazooka Mario said:I don't think that would be necessary. We should be using .apng only when it is absolutely needed, like those Color Splash sprite animations.
Their own Chrome Status website states it is in development though. So while it is indeed not supported as of now, it is a thing to come in the foreseeable future.Porplemontage said:53% of our visitors use Chrome. Just because there is a bug report for APNG support in Chrome (as there has always been) doesn't mean they have any intention of actually including it. So you can think of this proposal as asking, "Should we break animated images for the majority of our visitors?" Even if Google comes out and says they will support it, I wouldn't do anything until we can actually see it in action on both desktop and mobile.

First thing to do is find out what the file is before getting involved I guess.Yoshi the Space Station Manager said:One thing I don't really understand is why browsers don't support APNGs, but support PNGs.
Of course, the idea of APNG being backwards compatible with PNG means that the extension must be the same, there is a mention of the .apng extension on Wikipedia but in the end it seems to be the exception, so I ended up stating the obvious normal case as if it was a special thing...There is no such thing as a .apng file, in the same fashion as there isn't a .agif file. The extension is always .png, animated or not.

Not with thumbnail and frame, using other formats you can set sizes bigger than the image itself and they scale the image up without having to upload a new version.
My answer is page 115.Time Turner said:should i create an article on this obviously serious and definitely new species y/n

I mean, this quote for Pauline is so generic...tho it clearly describes her damsel-in-distress persona, no doubt lol XDDDD
