The first Cars is the weakest Pixar movie at its date

The second Cars is even worse and is generally considered Pixar's worst movie

Cars had a ----ty spin-off movie Planes and a sequel that was planned while it was in development

See a pattern here?

to be perfectly honest, cars sounds rather dreadful.

okay well fine if you have so little faith in it, just don't see it

it's as simple as that

you're getting finding nemo 2, the incredibles 2, AND inside out, which is going to be amazing

so if they want to produce a movie that you don't want, then just don't see it. it's not the end of the world

except this thread has mostly been "zomg cars 3!!! how could they!!! our nation is doomed"

it's okay to not want to see a movie. but what's going on in here is basically blindly hating a movie that really doesn't affect you in any way

i get what you're saying, but i think you're really overstating our reaction. i don't think anyone here is freaking out that they're making a cars 3, we're just kind of miffed that they couldn't devote their resources to something that we'd enjoy more. and so we're complaining.
 
If you interpret Nabber's comment as "everyone shut up and stop complaining", then it is fighting fire with fire.

If you interpret Nabber's comment as "guys it's no big deal just don't watch it", it's not really fighting fire with fire.

I see it as both. Nabber thinks he's just trying to calm us down, but he's also bashing us for apparently believing that Cars 3 is the worst thing ever. And bashing us like that is indeed fighting fire with fire.

i wasn't trying to bash anyone, i was just trying to get you to all calm down because everyone seems to be really upset and offended by this movie and i think you're making a bigger deal out of it than it really needs to be
