is this taking into account traditionally animated movies (2D) and stop-motion?Dr. Javelin said:Because I enjoy making lists so much, I present to you
JAVELIN'S TOP TEN ANIMATED FILMS
1. The Lego Movie
2. Up
3. Kung Fu Panda
3. Kung Fu Panda 2 (just as good as the first one)
5. Shrek 2
6. The Incredibles
7. Frozen
8. WALL-E
9. Toy Story 2 (I thought it was better than the first one, honestly)
10. How to Train Your Dragon
Well, because the rest of the Internet seemed more excited about The Incredibles 2, I figured that reminding that there's also going to be a Cars 3 would help keep in mind what direction Pixar's going. I mean, yeah, I'm excited that they're making a sequel to the one movie they made that was actually OPEN to a sequel, but I'm also disappointed that they have such a focus on sequels these days.Zae Roles said:this topic has done something i didnt expect
more *bleep*ing about cars and less excitement for the incredibles 2
what a fine way to pass the time
Stop-motion requires you to take a picture of a scene, then going it, move the figures or scenery EVER so slighty, taking a picture of THAT, then repeating that process about 1000+ times... actually, that's far less then what the average stop-motion picture would need. Sure hand-drawn stuff requires almost as many frames, and unlike everyone else, I totally understand that computer-generated animation isn't as easy as people make it sound, but something about bending over and being careful not to mess up the tiny figures and sets while moving them the way you want them to go just sounds like a lot more work.Howl said:i don't think stop motion is that much harder than 2D or 3D animation

1000 frames would actually result in around 50-100 seconds of film.Smashgoom202 said:Stop-motion requires you to take a picture of a scene, then going it, move the figures or scenery EVER so slighty, taking a picture of THAT, then repeating that process about 1000+ times... actually, that's far less then what the average stop-motion picture would need.
Doesn't the Lego Movie sort of qualify as a stopmotion?Dr. Javelin said:i think the only stopmotion i've seen was that stupid rudolph the red-nosed reindeer thing
have you seen the iron giant? that's made by the director of ratatouille and the incredibles, and it's a really good 2d animated movieDr. Javelin said:yesHowl said:is this taking into account traditionally animated movies (2D) and stop-motion?Dr. Javelin said:Because I enjoy making lists so much, I present to you

Jack your list is incorrect because you don't have Mulan, bugs life, or the Road the El DoradoDr. Javelin said:yesHowl said:is this taking into account traditionally animated movies (2D) and stop-motion?Dr. Javelin said:Because I enjoy making lists so much, I present to you
