That's also an exceptional case; it's from an agreement from HAL/Sora (Sakurai) and Kojima to include Snake. Nintendo would not add random 3rd party characters like that. And if they did, it would be publicized and shown by now, as a promotion.
 
I'm not arguing that them adding Don-chan wouldn't be unlikely, I'm arguing that Nintendo has included 3rd-party characters in their games before. So its highly unlikely, but not impossible, even if Don-chan is an

Just because you are not familiar with a character does not make them unknown and/or not worth including.
 
I think Nintendo is more likely to add a nonMario character within Nintendo first than resort to third-party characters, even though they've done this already (R.O.B.).

Because its losing animation is hilarious and when it dies, it sounds like its crying.

It's just a WTF guest character, I think.

Yeah, like Baby Daisy.
 
But Baby Daisy is based on an existing Mario character. And also, hardly anyone expected Metal Mario to be a newcomer.

True, but he is much more popular then R.O.B.
 
Nintendo doesn't really care who's popular or not among the fans. They just include what they think fits or whatever they please.
 
I doubt fans wanted Baby Daisy badly to be back. Also, H. Queen does have her share of fans, so don't diss them.
