Actually, Bowser forged the letter to trick Mario into falling in a trap he set up in SM64DS. This did however happen in both SMG1 and SMG2.

I never said Peach didn't legitimately write them letter in SMG1 and SMG2.

I don't know why but I think the Mushroom Kingdom has a poor postal service. I think the letter delivery process is so flawed that one of Bowser's minions can actually sneak and read the letter as it's being delivered. It's either that or the postal service needs to have an encryption system so that it is safe.

I for one wonder why Bowser keep getting invitations to race go-karts after all this time.

And baseball, and tennis, and basketball, and possibly almost any other Mario sports spin-off series you can think of.

Maybe these are all just attempts of peach to create peace between her and bowser, to make him be like "oh shit these guys aren't so bad u no wat I'll stop kidnapping them".
