It is great to see Yoshi return. His arms were washed, explaing why he no longer has those cheetos stains in them.

so hype
personally my only wish is the ability to play 1v1 races using the gamepad as one screen and the tv as the other. because this game is much more personal than other mario titles i don't think it really needs a great multiplayer imoMario Party Σ said:Wish Super Mario Maker has multiplayer support, though...
Well, multiplayer should've been an option, and you should be able to at least play as separate Mario characters rather than resorting to only amiibo. smh.GBAToad said:personally my only wish is the ability to play 1v1 races using the gamepad as one screen and the tv as the other. because this game is much more personal than other mario titles i don't think it really needs a great multiplayer imoMario Party Σ said:Wish Super Mario Maker has multiplayer support, though...
man i'm going to love playing as wario
i'll bet nintendo takes the cheap option and only makes them compatible with the 8-bit levels
yah, just watched a bit of the treehouse stream for the game and the mystery mushroom that's used to turn mario into different characters is exclusive to the 8-bit palette (and the propeller mushroom is exclusive to the NSMB palette). it appears that a single powerup and the physics of each game are the only differences between palettes.Mario Party Σ said:I'm totally betting that Nintendo will limit it to 8-bit levels.
I wonder how many of those levels there will be.Meta Knight said:The release date though
Mario turning into Wii Fit Trainer would be hilarious. I mean, you can come up with crazy stuff like every character in Smash Bros. is just a power-up Mario.GBAToad said:yah, just watched a bit of the treehouse stream for the game and the mystery mushroom that's used to turn mario into different characters is exclusive to the 8-bit palette (and the propeller mushroom is exclusive to the NSMB palette). it appears that a single powerup and the physics of each game are the only differences between palettes.Mario Party Σ said:I'm totally betting that Nintendo will limit it to 8-bit levels.
not really sure how it works though - whether it gives you a new set of sprites or is just a reskinned super mario sprite which is lost once you take a hit isn't that clear. i get to play as ness and robin though so that's all that matters
and you can make ghost houses SWEET
edit: oh and uh yoshi is only for the smw and nsmb style levels lol
funny you mention thatMario Party Σ said:Mario turning into Wii Fit Trainer would be hilarious. I mean, you can come up with crazy stuff like every character in Smash Bros. is just a power-up Mario.

We don't really know if the E3 2015 demo is the final build. We'll know for certain in a few months.

Hey, I didn't know your birth date was in September as well. Good thing you were born the day before.Lapis Lazuli said:Meta Knight said:The release date though
It's the day before my birthday.
Meaning that I'm obviously fated to get this game. <3

Still the same idea, though I do think I should have noticed that.Lapis Lazuli said:Lumastar said:Hey, I didn't know your birth date was in September as well. Good thing you were born the day before.

It's coming out on 9/11. The game is coming the day before my birthday, meaning my birthday is the day after the game comes out.
I actually feel like I could get into creating a fair number of levels, but I'll definitely be spending most of my time most likely playing others' levels.Lapis Lazuli said:Anyways, tbh, I probably will be too busy playing other people's levels. Knowing how I work, I'll probably try to make some complex level and end up not finishing it because I feel it'll be meh.
