Most depressing Mario area

The areas from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time people have mentioned are all pretty depressing. I'm trying to recall a more depressing area, but I don't have one right now. I'll try to come back later if I remember something else.

Any outside area during Luigi's Mansion plays that depressing music and it gets me thinking about how Luigi is scared but desperately wants to find his brother and that gets me down too

Though thinking about what happens in Yoshi's Island makes me cry in the inside.

Oh my goodness, I was dying of laughter on the ground and my sister just backed away slowly.

Was joking about that. The MS-DOS version is worse than the SNES version in nearly every way possible.

Especially the voices.

Well anyway, I'd say that the most depressing area in Mario is Forever Forest, not to mention the music. I love it anyway.
