Also, I would like to point out that if there is a newcomer reveal at the event then it will likely be a popular character request in Japan (so no Ridley).
 
It's over, apparently. No new characters. Quelle surprise.
 
Someone who translated the Japanese text said that it read "More characters to come". They never explicitly stated that a character would be shown that day.
 
Feels bad man. I had been off the computer throughout most of the day and I had forgotten about this, but now I'm somewhat letdown.
 
The more days that pass by, the more dumb excuses people come up with to "prove" Ridley will be in Brawl.
 
The only character I'm concerned about right now is K. Rool. He's someone who's been way overdue for an appearance for over ten years now. Plus, it'll (somewhat) make up for the fact that they've been pretending as if he doesn't exist in not one, not two, but three (console) platformers in a row. Other than him, I really don't care who else makes it in at this point.
