it's roughly ranked from best to honorable mentions but there are some that should be higher (like terminator 2), i just haven't got around to deciding just how good they are in comparison

I'm surprised you guys haven't mentioned The Blues Brothers, honestly. Fabulous movie in every way.

The Truman Show.
What exactly did you like about the Truman Show? I'm curious, because we tend to disagree on favorite movies and yet we both liked it.

It's been a while since I watched it (it's one of the movies that I want to rewatch). But it was just a great experience to watch. The concept and plot were very interesting, the directing was well done, Carrey's performance was exhilarating, and in general it kinda brought me a sense of wonder watching it.

I liked how many questions it raised, like would Truman be happier in the outside world? Was Christof basically playing God? How much freedom should Truman have? What defines Truman as a person? Was his entire personality created by the company? Why do people like Truman so much? All these questions were actually answered by the movie, which was cool. It was also a very thought-provoking movie that had a good sense of humor and was well acted (and if it wasn't well acted, they have the excuse that everyone is actually an actor in-universe. o_O).

Yeah, that basically describes a lot of why I like it. It's one of those movies that really thinks outside of the box and shows you so something new.

Anchorman
Anchorman 2

oh yeah Minority Report is also really good, forgot to mention that

All Pixar movies except Cars 2 because I just didn't enjoy it as much as Cars, Pixar could have used original characters, new settings and stuff but keep the story and tweak it. And also keep out brave since I never seen it.
Shrek 1 and 2
Rio
Despicable Me 1 and 2
World War Z
Anchorman 2
Wreck-It Ralph
The Lorax
Charlie Brown (I think it's the one about the Spelling bee)

Those are movies I would watch anytime. I just have to remember more.

Here's my list, a lot of it is not in particular order although the movie listed at #1 is my #1
