"I heard you have a dragon problem?" (Chapter 50 / 50) It is done!

Hey what is that board that you and Marowak are playing on?
It's an 8x8 board and the pieces aren't all on one color, so it could be chess but can't be checkers.

of course, all the spaces and pieces are the same color so it's really not a chessboard either

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

We told you, it's Grottos and Geometry.

nah, just messing, take all the time you need

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

Note to self: make smaller chapters.

Also, hopefully I'm not breaking any rules here!

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

LOL

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

The joke would be on you, with my head exploding like that, you'd get blood and brains all over your books.

Anyway, I really liked the Marowak part.

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

Eh, as long as they're still readable, a little gore just adds character.

Glad you liked it! It was inspired by your bottle of blood earlier. I'm still not 100% sure if it works better with the ! or not, tho...

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

marowak is such a slob, eating right off the table like that

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

I see. But making a fuzz over a little grease is a-ok. So silly.

It's very Marowak. And I think it works better with the !.

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

Oh god, I can think of three ways to continue this and now I have to pick one.

Aaaaaaaaah!

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

but then gabum-- edo would get too distracted by his overwhelming desire to cheat on me and walkazo would surely kill him

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

ah ha ha this is awesome

GUNS

you can keep your silly magic, guns have now entered the picture

The golem must not actually be that tall if Walkazo was able to get a headshot with a shotgun. I guess it depends on what kind of shot you're using though, buckshot would probably be able to do that from that range (you know the head splatter). Birdshot would have just left a bloodier mess, although the face would probably still be intact.

You might want to switch to slugs to fight Marowak though. The bone armor might be able to repel buckshot.

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

What if the magic...

...

...is shot out of a gun???

or maybe walkazo's fantasy isn't an entirely realistic depiction of the capabilities of a shotgun

it is an entirely realistic depiction of what a slob marowak is, though

then what purpose does the gun serve? you can just as easily shoot magic from your hands or from a staff

a gun would just be heavier than either of those

...although it DOES depend on the universe. In some universes you have to expend mana or magicka or concentrate really hard to use magic. If you loaded the spells in a gun prior to that, then you wouldn't have to (similar to how staves in Elder Scrolls use up a charge instead of magicka). Plus for added awesomeness, you could load different magic bullets in a clip, so your first shot could be a lightning bolt, the second an icicle spear, and the third a fireball! The possibilities are endless!

And then you could up that even further, get an assault rifle, and just unload rapid-fire spells of all kinds on your enemy who couldn't possibly hope to block them! AH HA HA HA THIS IS GENIUS IDEA

Good thinking, Edo!

Actually nah, I think it would still work. Shotguns are pretty powerful.

If you can blow apart a clay disc with birdshot at a longer range then buckshot would probably be pretty painful to the face. Plus Edo's a mage which automatically makes him super squishy.

Always slugs. If you can't kill marauding polar bears and/or jerkwad wizard dragons (and their little Marowaks too), then really, what's the point?

Well, prophetic dreams and visions do run in my family.

See? Magic makes everything fancier! Even shooting things.

I'm not quite sure if I should actually say this because I might repurpose the idea at a later point, but when I left the library here:

my plan was to set up a joke where I go to a local arms dealer to get a gun and try to ambush Walkazo with it, and then some wacky events that result from that. It didn't quite work out because I returned sooner than I expected, but the resulting part more than made up for it so I don't really mind.

Also,

for a mage I am actually quite defensive, but a lot of other stats take a hit due to that, most notably my physical strength. So if I ever run out of mana, I have nothing to fall back on.

Re: "I heard you have a dragon problem?"

I apologize that this is taking so long. It's kind of turning out bigger than I expected. I've even had to cut stuff out and cram multiple panels together.

Now there are only a couple panels left to go though.
