I didn't like Avatar because it's a story we've seen done to death with nothing new put into it, also the characters were really bland. I'm just not a fan of James Cameron despite Titanic being my favorite movie

Meh, I don't really like Arnold movies that much (except Twins).

Oh that, it just didn't really hit me that much as it did with everyone else

How much of the show did you watch? I'll admit, while season 1 is good, it pales in comparisons to seasons 2 and 3, both of which I consider the pinnacle of animation.

Wow, that was a bold statement. Maybe I wouldn't go that far, but I think I'd consider Avatar: The Last Airbender to be my favorite TV show.

Yes, more than DBZ. DBZ is fun but I'll admit it's mostly popcorn entertainment. That's not say it has no depth at all. The creativity is excellent and the animation is fast paced and intense. Characters like Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan all go through arcs and are interesting characters. That is until the Buu saga where Vegeta and Goku are the only important characters and Gohan becomes awful.
