I know this is minor, but why not?

The 3DS version of SSB4 got rated E10+, making it the first game in the series with the rating. The Wii U version is still pending a rating, but it will most likely be E10+. What are your opinions on this?

It's possible that undergarments are completely censored in the 3DS version, which can explain the 3DS version's E10+ rating to some extent.

...Guys. If the ESRB rated it, they know the roster.

...

TO ESRB HQ!

E10+?

Snake deconfirmed

I'm kidding. But that is interesting. I kinda think Brawl should have been E10+ even with Snake and arguably Zero Suit Samus. And I think Melee would have been E10+ if the rating existed at the time. Smash 64 might have still been E however. I do wonder if the Wii U version will also be E10+. That'd be weird having versions have different ratings from the ESRB.

From what I remember, Brawl was rated T because of the Wario Waft
That doesn't seem like a reason to rate it T to me. Wario had a fart attack in Mario Striker Charged, but it was rated E10+.

The Wario Waft is more responsible for the "Crude Humor" statement in Brawl though, and likely had little to do with the T rating.

I assume Wario is still in the game so does the ESRB just not care about the crude humor?

Of course, the lack of Snake is the more likely reason, or maybe they've just realized there's not really anything in Smash that warrants a teen rating.

I know, right? Melee and Brawl should have been rated E10+ too.

E10+ didn't exist when Melee was made.

Ranting here:

In what bizarre rating system should Super Smash Bros Melee/Brawl/3DS/Wii U not get E for everyone but Mario Party 1 and Mario Party 4 get an E for everyone. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. ESRB needs to be replaced for that.

Why should Mario Party 1 and 4 be rated above E?
Mario Party 1: At the end of each Board, a character dies painfully.
Mario Party 4: At the end of a Bowser Minigame, somebody gets Roasted.
Why don't they warn all these poor children that these inappropriate things happen. The don't deserve to have to experience games like this by surprise.

...Nobody dies in Mario Party. If anything, it's crude humor.

Some people get Nightmares from it.
How...

How could anyone possibly get a nightmare from those things?

I don't entirely know but I did happen to have a Nightmare related to Bowser Minigames in Mario Party 4 like 4 times so far this year.
