Wario was there in prison and both of them escaped while wearing their black and white prison clothes in a hilarious way. Wario was arrested for picking his nose in public.

I think we're on to something here.

Now we just have to find a way to link Wario, Waluigi and Nabbit.

Maybe Wario has eaten Waluigi, taken his clothes, and put on a mask.

That would also explain Nabbit's bag because it's all of their loot combined.
