Early Thoughts on Character Tiers

Give your thoughts on how good or how bad you think a character is or will be.

From what I've heard, Duck Hunt, Bowser, Rosalina, Greninja, Zero Suit Samus, and Pac-Man are material for top or high tier.

I've also heard that Falco is horrible this time around.

Little Mac has been both considered low and high tier, but I think he'll be low.
 
Ness is probably going to be low tier
 
Ok, you be Ganondorf and I'll be Meta Knight. Let's see if you can win.

Luigi still looks sorta low on my opinion. Hopefully he isn't as floaty.

Meta Knight I haven't seen, but I feel like they're nerfed him too much.

Rosalina looks like high tier material.
 
From my play of the demo:

Mario: Mid/High Tier
Pikachu: Mid Tier
Link: Low Tier
Villager: High Tier
Mega Man: Low Tier
 
For me:

Mario: Mid/High Tier
Pikachu: High Tier
Link: Mid Tier
Villager: Mid Tier
Mega Man: Low Tier

Oh dear, one of those people.

It's way to early to be determining tiers. We need to wait for the meta game to develop. Even when the first tier list is released, it may look very different from the truth. The first Melee tier list looked very different from how how it looks now.
 
I'm not specifically referring to tiers. I just couldn't think of a better way to say "early thoughts on how good or bad you think a character is or will be"

He's definitely improved, as have all the heavyweights, but those types of characters always seem strong early on. In Brawl's early days, Ike seemed unbeatable. Now he sits at mid-tier.
 
For the people playing the demo, do not try to determine character viability against CPUs. Any character can stomp CPUs. Real humans are the way to determine a characters' viability.

So do I (Him and Mario), but how good you are with them doesn't determine their tier. I mean some people are awesome with Ganondorf.
 
I believe in tiers, but I wish they can go rot in hell.

Meanwhile... I can't determine the tiers. Mario may have been buffed, but so were Zelda and Bowser in Barlw....
 
So a tier list was released on some japanese gaming site and this was what I translated.
A:
(Above) seek, Yoshi, Rosetta & Chico;
(Bottom) Gekkouga, zero suit Samus;

B:
(Top) Bowser, Lucario;
(Middle) Sonic, Fox, Wario;
(Bottom) Duck Hunt;

C:
(Above) Captain Falcon, Diddy Kong, Pit, black pit, Little Mac;
(Middle) Pac-Man, Princess Peach, villagers;
(Bottom) Bowser Jr., Mario, Metanaito;

D:
(Top) Toon Link, Pikachu, Mars, Donkey Kong, robot;
