He also wasn't the main villain of superstar saga like they imply here. He was the secondary antagonist.

Well true, I didn't pay that bit much mind because I assumed they meant "stepping aside from being allied with the main antagonist"

It was implied but it didn't go anywhere, at least in Superstar Saga. Though some of the things he did to hinder the Mario Bros. weren't directly ordered by Cackletta as far as we know.

Which he did for Cackletta, it wasn't until the end of the game he realized he was doing most of the work for somebody else to benefit from. It wasn't until after she died he started plotting on his own.
