Wow... Mario vs. DK has fallen so far since the first game. I mean, in that game there was a full story intro with backstory on why DK steals the Mini-Mario toys. Now it's just "DK kidnapped Pauline" and literally that's it? Wow. Granted I haven't played the arcade Donkey Kong but even if that was the case then, it had the excuse of being in the early stages of gaming.

That said, Mario does look like he's on some kind of drug, much like the Mario Party 10 artwork. DK looks fine.
