3DS won't read SD card

I recently got a new, larger SD card for my 3DS and transferred all of my data. However, the 3DS says it has trouble reading it and Smash Bros. keeps crashing because I have it digitally.
 
What type of sD card are you using? If you're using an SdXc you may have to reformat it to FAT32
 
I don't think the files have anything to do with this

I think it's a formatting issue.

Oh. Well I recently did this and had no issues, so I wanted to see if he has all the files.

GP you have to reformat it first. Stick it in your computer and use this (recommended by Nintendo). To be on the safe side, copy over anything you may have on the card to somewhere on your computer until the formatting's done.
 
I did the formatting thing. I can play the game but it still occasionally crashes. I also can't seem to access Miiplaza stuff.
