I got an idea.
Mario and Luigi have Baby Mario and Baby Luigi to tend for and the Mario Bros. have to maintain their relationship with each other while also maintaining their relationship with Baby Mario and Baby Luigi.

Super Wario Bros (brothers or not Wario and waluigi are in the game). Wario and Waluigi want cake so they bribed Bowser into kidnapping Peach, Mario and Luigi want to rescue Peach so they are recurring bosses. Bowser breaks the deal and doesn't play the defeated villain role so they fight for real. After beating Bowser, the 2 troll brothers ask Peach for cake as a reward, but Waluigi somehow told the part of making a deal with Bowser. Peach gets mad and a boss fight begins. The cutscene reveals that Wario and Waluigi trapped Peach after her defeat but the Mario brothers come to the rescue and kick Wario and Waluigi into a pit. The credits show Waluigi and Wario running away from a angry Bowser and later show them in a hospital(in a comical way). Mario and Luigi eat cake with Peach.
If you defeat Bowser alot earlier, you get a different ending. Waluigi still does the same mistake and they don't fight Peach. Instead they fight Mario and Luigi. They win at the fight but lose on the cutscene. Wario and Waluigi apologize and they eat cake with Peach and the Mario brothers. Bowser appears on the window and makes puppy eyes, Mario takes the last slice of cake and gives it to Bowser, leaving the Wario grumpy.(He ate too much anyways.)

Wario and Waluigi can ride Rexes instead of Yoshis.

A Nintendo RPG where all of Nintendo's mascots get together and go on a journey like the Subspace Emissary but it's an RPG, the locations are places that ACTUALLY exist in the Nintendo Universe, and the story is actually pretty good because even though there was a story it was less than stellar.
