post any random Mario thought on your mind

If Pauline is in the next Mario Kart, do you think she'll wear a biker jumpsuit or her mayoral pantsuit when she rides bikes?

My best guess would be that she'll wear a biker suit while riding bikes or ATVs.

Probably a biker suit, because I'd imagine her main colour would be red, so it wouldn't conflict with any of the other girls' outfits. If she wore, for example, blue, then I think they would've used her mayoral suit.

I prefer the idea of her wearing her pantsuit on a bike/ATV, it's more like her than a biker jumpsuit. And maybe a ponytail, because of the length of her hair.

And as for her emblem, maybe it should be a coin of her face, as seen in New Donk City. (They were revealed by Nintendo before Odyssey was released).

I even remember seeing Mario Kart Pauline fanart, sometimes with her emblem being things like a lipstick kiss, a heart, or a purse.

I played Mario Party 8 with my siblings yesterday. I played as Boo and we went to King Boo's Haunted Hideaway, but those two things were not related. Wario at Medium difficulty was the CPU. Wario was quite unlucky, never getting any stars throughout the entire game and losing many of the coins that he gained. An exception to this is when he used a Bitsize Candy after landing on a Lucky space, making him get almost 50 coins in one turn. This was his only lucky moment in the game, as someone found King Boo and the map was reset before he could get to the Lucky space's Star. By the end of the game, I was at one star while my siblings were at 2 and 3 stars (Wario had none, of course). However, I got every Bonus Star category (although I was tied for two of them), making me win the game with 4 stars and I think around 80-95 coins, which was more than my brother who had 4 stars but a lot less coins. It was a fun game all around. I think MP8 is the official go-to Mario Party for our family, since the only others we have are 9 and 10 which we pretty much unanimously don't like as much as MP8 (though we do have 2 on VC which we can hardly play but that's another story).

Wario's suffering in a Mario Party game is something I love reading about. :P

Odd indeed.
Did Sega's lose their olympic games license or something?

Ubisoft bought the license for the 2018 Olympics. it's dlc for Steep

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games is not on the eShop either. It's standard practice, probably linked to the IOC.

Can you even buy a physical copy of the game? I've heard that you can't.

Did they ever explain why Bowser was silent in sticker star? I know he was terrible in the previous game but that was terrible in the complete opposite direction.

And before anyone says it, no, it wasn't because of Miyamoto.

Because you're supposed to BE Bowser, you're supposed to pretend that Bowser's dialogue and emotions are yours even though he's really just a pile of threatening, spiky bricks.

I used to headcanon that he became mute as part of his madness but that fell apart when, at one point, I learned that one of the Toads does mention him speaking. So the implication is that he can speak, he just doesn't have visible dialogue.
The actual reason is probably a horrific misunderstanding of Miyamoto's issue with Bowser in the previous entries (which wouldn't be the only time; see the Toad debacle, among others) and somebody decided that Bowser being mute made him more threatening. It's doubtful that it's Miyamoto himself considering Bowser has had dialogue in almost all the 3D platformers (even having his hammy RPG personality in Galaxy 2), much less every other spinoff.

I do appreciate him using the chain-chomp as a flail like in SMRPG though, and Cardboard Bowser was kinda clever and so stupid it looped back to great, but that's just me.

Well thats the thing, I don't think they were trying to make him threatening either since he still acts like a complete goofball whenever on screen.

Then you get stuff like CS where he is the badguy but simultaneously not the badguy at the same time.

Part of the problem is that he's apparently meant to be taken seriously (Or at least, seriously by Sticker Star standards) while wearing the Royal Sticker... except the only times we see him while under its influence are the very end of the opening and his boss fight. And of those two, we don't see him do anything particularly evil. It might be a coincidence, but I see part of his 3D Land Final Battle intro during his boss intro here. You know, except for the part where he doesn't crack the floor by mistake.
The game does imply that he rampaged through the game world and the ending implies that he still had some degree of control since he tried to touch the comet again, but none of it is explained well (which is a problem modern Paper Mario in general has, but I digress).
It's kinda funny/sad when, if you take the implications of the ending into consideration, this is one of two games in the Paper Mario serious where Bowser actually is the main villain.

Any of you folks getting Vs. Super Mario Bros tomorrow? Fun story, when my favorite Chinese food place had it in there, I thought that playing four players would get you to play Wario and Waluigi due to the color of the buttons.

I think the problem is less explanation and more they set up stuff then never actually do anything with it. Wearing a crown makes you crazy but gives you power, does anything come of this? Nope.

In CS, Bowser is being controlled by the black paint, but does pretty much what you'd expect Bowser to do except with more paint thus making it a pointless addition.

Hey man, Bowser was creating Black Paint weapons! He even dropped one on Sunglow Ridge, affecting absolutely no one and did nothing else with them for the rest of the game.
Totally justifies the last part of the game!

Well I get that was just a test fire and they were stocking up for when he sent it everywhere else butt if you were gonna go the whole "this substance corrupts people and turns them evil" why not have it affect other people as well?

Like fighting people that are normally friendly like yoshis or toads or something. Maybe team up with the non black painted minions in Bowser's army since they aren't cosher with whats going on and want their old boss back, I dunno, SOMETHING!!

Look I've always said that story doesn't matter in Mario and I stand by that, but if you are going to do something then at least make use of it to create potentially interesting gameplay concepts.

It's especially glaring when you remember the Koopalings: None of them (or any of the mooks for that matter) seem to notice their boss acting differently. In fact, Roy uses Black Paint in his boss fight and paints the entire room and even though it uses the same creepy Black Paint music, it has none of the Black Paint's usual characteristics (and Huey doesn't even have to clean it up, you just use a washing machine Thing). Even Sticker Star had the bosses go crazy from their Royal Stickers and explicitly showed that with Megasparkle Goomba and Mizzzter Blizzzard, so you can safely assume Bowser is acting similarly.

Compare the Black Paint with, say, the Dark Matter from the Kirby series which is implied (or outright shown in Dream Land 3) to be possessing the bosses of the games it appears in and is sometimes shown to warp/mutate some of the characters such as Dedede, a Waddle Dee and (to a lesser extent) Daroach.
