post any random Mario thought on your mind

At least they aren't exclusive to the special edition version of the game? :-\
I'm more intrigued by the fact that that seems to use the Bowserotti name despite also sticking with calling them minions.

There's actually a very intriguing backstory behind the term Bowserotti:

as you know, it's the only Western translation of the old KoKuppa term, no longer in use since the GBA Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, that translates Kuppa as Bowser and thus the whole term as Little Bowsers.

Kuppa
being Bowser from the start rather than what became the American concept of Koopas (=the various turtle-like creatures) was only recently acknowledged in the Spanish translation of the Encyclopedia Super Mario Bros., where the Koopas concept has been completely abandoned in favor of the Japanese turtle family and Kuppa is consistently translated as Bowser. As far as North America is concerned, if the Official Home of Mario is an indication, the Koopas concept is still in full use, but the reuse of the Super Mario All-Stars Wii story of Super Mario Bros. indicates that they too realized the mistake they made back then when the Koopas concept was introduced.

Bowserotti, however, isn't a recent term: it came out in Super Mario Advance 4, which is why it's a translation of KoKuppa instead of KuppaNoTeshita (Bowser's Minions) or Kuppa7Ninshu (Team of 7 Bowsers), and in that manual it was indeed said that the Little Bowsers were Bowser's children, just like the Japanese manual and Nintendo Official Guidebook of that game said (after the introduction of Bowser Jr.!).

I don't know who did this important correction back then when nobody had apparently spotted the Kuppa issue yet (I suspect it was Francesca di Marco, who was involved in the localization of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Paper Mario: the Thousand-Year Door), anyway, thanks to it in Italy the Koopalings are still known as Little Bowsers, even though Nintendo Italia is now forced to stick with their current depiction.

But why is the term still in use? Nintendo Italia was indeed using since New Super Mario Bros. Wii the Scagnozzi di Bowser (Bowser's Minions) term, and they used it until Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, but then Japan since Mario Kart 8 started using Kuppa7Ninshu instead of KuppaNoTeshita, likely because the latter was too generic, and with Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Nintendo Italia caught the chance to reuse the old term (they also made Lemmy call upon his father, by the way...).

There should be a game where Mario receives a wand similar to Kamek's, except his magic spells take the form of A, B, X, Y and he fights Kamek with this.

Magikoopas' magic should take form of PlayStation buttons.

An intresting find by TCRF, DK Jr was supposed to be DK's partner in Double Dash instead of Diddy
And for a thought that's not purely Mario related but I can't anywhere else to put it, I think I know why amiibo haven't been used in mobile games yet, you see, some tablets don't have NFC and due to these devices being varying things with not a single one made by Nintendo, they can't make a catch all device for them like they did for the regular 3DSes

Why do balloons randomly explode after they fly away from a kart in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7? Have you ever seen a balloon just float up aimlessly for a few seconds and spontaneously explode? Not me. Is it some strange alien atmospheric condition?

At least in Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart 8, the former flies away without popping and the latter explodes as soon as you get struck.

A small nitpick, but it always kinda bothered me how the map in Partners in Time doesn't update in the present to represent the modern version of Bowser's Castle. I mean sure, you wouldn't be able to explore it anyways since you're restricted to the rooms of Peach's castle but still it would be a nice touch.

If they do a Partner's In Time DX anytime soon, I think a cool little nod to continuity would be to have the Bowser's Inside Story version of Bowser's castle on the map in the present as a wink to things to come.

So, I recently got Monopoly Gamer: Collector's Edition and wanted to look at the manual which has the characters' bios.

Look at this! They even have the bios of Tanooki Mario, Fire Mario and Boos!

The individual "bios" of the first seven little Bowsers are:
Level

Rules to fight them

What you win if you beat them

how many points they are worth

i.e. they don't have any bio at all, only Bowser Jr. does.

The bio of the group is "The Little Bowsers are seven among the most dangerous, evil and nefarious minions of Bowser. These characters are devoutly loyal to Bowser. Most of them wield magic wands, which are used to wreak incredible havoc."

Cool!

Can you post Rosalina's page?

Waluigi's twin brother?

Here it is!

The bio says:

Rosalina protects the Lumas - star-shaped creatures - with whom she always travels, and this way she defends the cosmos from every menace that threatens it, no matter how great it might be.

Just a thought that came to me today... do you reckon that Wario's Gold Mine and Mount Wario are in the same mountain or mountain range? If they were, obviously it would be different areas and probably at different times of year, but do you think it's the same mountain?

I really don't think Wario's Gold Mine takes place in a mountain. To me, it looks more like it takes place in a canyon or a deep ravine.

that needs to be a spinoff game/series
You-know-who would go ballistic if Rosalina got a spin-off before Daisy.

I'm still waiting on a dedicated Bowser spin-off.

I'll bet good coinage that Waluigi will get a game or at least a major role in 2020. It'll be his 20th anniversary, after all, so what better way to celebrate that milestone?
