Planned Paper Mario Fan Game

Goomba
Hi, guys; I'm planning on creating a Paper Mario fan game for Gamejolt, and thought this would a good place to gain some support. Years ago I was a member of this board under the name Shyguy777 (I believe; it's been so long) and announced the fan game Paper Mario Epix, which ultimately got cancelled. Five years later I return, now with a plethora of game-making experience, to revisit the project that never was.

Now, I know what you're all thinking: here comes another pretentious 'programmer' who's biting off more than he can chew. Five years ago, this was the case, I shamefully admit; however, I've actually creating two fully-finished games, and am capable to handling such a project (for proof, here's the link to my page on Gamejolt.)

The game itself is planned to be a 3d/2d platformer with a 'shadow world' mechanic that allows Mario to go into the background of levels to pass obstacles and solve puzzles. The project's prototype name will be Paper Mario: Wicked Worlds.

I hope to gain your support; and of course, thanks for reading :mario:

By the way, here's an early logo I whipped up:

Yeah, that was me :P I was only 13 or 14 at the time, if I recall correctly.
Is this sockpuppeting?
I tried to delete my old account, but couldn't. If there's a way to, I'd be appreciative to know how.

I guarantee you that I'm not attempting to troll the boards.
I don't think there is a way to delete old accounts that I know of.

The prototype build of Paper Mario: Wicked Worlds is going along favorably; Mario's basic controls have been programmed, and a major character in the game has been introduced. The floating black ball to Mario's left is Silha, and she gives Mario the ability to enter into shadowy backgrounds in levels.

The game's story is still being conceived; however, it's planned to focus more on the brother-to-brother relationship between Mario and Luigi, as opposed to Mario trying to save Princess Peach. The main antagonist has yet to be created.

After virtually disappearing from the Paper Mario series after its second game, badges make a return in Paper Mario: Wicked Worlds. There are 27 badges in the game total, split up into three categories: attack, defense, and special. You can equip Mario with one badge from each category; so you can have a Fire Stomp badge that ignites enemies, a Poison Shield badge that reduces Mario's damage to poisonous attacks, and a Thunder Shock badge that stuns all enemies on screen (special badges require Star Power to be used, which randomly come out of defeated enemies.)

Attention everyone: I have some horrible news. A virus called DesktopWeatherAlerts has completely deleted everything on my computer, which means that Paper Mario: Wicked Worlds is cancelled. I will no longer be making games, for it brings me nothing but pain and distress. Goodbye.

Well that sucks. If you ever come by here again and see this (I'm guessing that's unlikely), then I'm sorry about what happened.

That's a terrible shame. I was quite interested in this until I read that it was cancelled. Oh well, what can you do :P

It's entirely possible that the virus just set all the files to hidden and you can unhide them in control panel, but it's equally possible that everything really is gone, in which case damn, my condolences.

If I could make the virus die a horrible death then I probably will.
