Unpopular opinions about miscellaneous things

The problem with fast food is when people eat too much of it - but really, if you eat too much of most things it's gonna cause issues. Although I do think there's too much salt in most fast foods, both from an objective viewpoint and also because I don't like really salty things in general.
My culture is Chinese cuisine, so perhaps I developed a taste for salty food.

I do agree there is too much salt in fast food, but the sit-downs tend to be even worse in every category (saturated fats, sugar, fats, carbs, trans fats, calories, etc.). Nobody is directing their obesity ire at Olive Garden though, not from the laws (e.g. fast food tax, limitation of fast food establishments), and I don't think it carries as much stigma.

According to the BMI calculator, I scored 17.9, borderline underweight. I sometimes hover around 98 (44.45 kg) pounds, though, and I one time got 92 lb (41.73 kg). The suggested weight range for my height is 98 (44.45 kg) to 132 lbs (59.87 kg).

I know my weight fluctuates during the day, but I need to find out around which weight it's fluctuating around, and just this or last week, the range is about from 92 (41.73 kg) - 95 (43.09 kg).

As much as I love fast food, I can't fathom eating it every single day.

Whenever I eat at a fast food joint, eating a typical meal is enough to fill me up for the remainder of the day. And it's not even an overly huge meal. The typical Chicken Nugget meal at McDonald's for a noon lunch (and assuming I wake up too late for breakfast) is enough to fill me up all day. I view it as a tasty treat, even though it's allegedly junk food. Eating it too regularly will spoil how "special" it is and how novel it is to eat it.

Sorry if I offended anyone by saying fast food is special. I eat it less than once week and it's satisfying to eat it. Not saying home-cooked food is terrible, on the contrary, it's actually so much better than eating out. But sometimes I just want to eat say In-n-out again.

Oops I think I went off in a tangent again.

i feel similarly

people who demonize mcdonalds are stupid

i genuinely enjoy it but i also feel if youre having health problems you might want to stay away

McDonalds, while far from being pure, is a frequent target, although stuff like Cheesecake Factory, Dairy Queen, Friendly's, Burger King, Sonic, they're comparatively worse. I eat only the fries and nuggets there, and their numbers are pretty modest for fast food.

That being said, once I eat fast food, I eat overall less throughout the day. 700-900 calories is like, half my calorie intake.

I feel like viewing it as a tasty treat is the best way to go about it: one of my favourite aspects of road trips is that I get to eat fast food for lunch, and in the winter, my dad, my bro and I get subway sandwiches once a fortnight when my mom's out curling for the evening (unless cash is tight). And I agree that sit-down places are worse for the average person - because the sheer volume is bigger. Small fries and a chocolate chip muffin from McDonalds can fill me up for an evening just the same as thrice that amount of food at a restaurant. But I have heard flack for places like Olive Garden sometimes, and especially for all-you-can-eat joints. The only time I have AYCE is sushi with friends, since then you can get a bunch of items and split them instead of having to only eat one type or another.

We're both about 5 foot 1inch ish (1.527048 meters). But we had a lower than average birth weight and it's normal because identical twins usually have a diminutive physique.

My weight yo-yos around too - usually it's around 120 lbs, with a 5-4ish height, putting my BMI at 20.6, smack dab in the middle of the "normal weight" range. I look thin, but have fairly muscular limbs balancing that out, so it's not surprising.

Oh yeah, we do view fast food as a treat. Guilty pleasure is the best way to describe them.

I like that aspect of road trips. My sister reported one time that she went to a McDonalds by herself when she was with Dad, and she just bought a meal on her own. She liked that sense of independence. On the flipside, though, Dad, who has to go on trips frequently, has to eat restaurant and fast food so frequently, he relishes the taste of home food once he got home.

The sit-down places do have a more reckless disregard for portion sizes, but the worse thing is that they're not even required to disclose calorie counts. Considering that most people underestimate calorie counts profoundly, it's a pretty big problem. In most sit-downs, I can hardly finish the food. I never have enough for dessert.

Popular opinion or not, sushi is awesome. Nigiri is so good for something that's only raw fish, some rice, and some soy sauce with a touch of wasabi.

A bit surprised to hear some flack for places like Romano's Macaroni Grill. It would be at least reflected in the food-related laws, but no, you get a lot of literary works and laws aimed toward fast food, which I think is missing the point. Oh, and the supermarket stuff too, they can be bad.

Well, at least you're not afraid to discuss your weight. Your weight seems to be fine! I used to be smack in the middle of normal weight, but it fell a bit. I think I used to be almost 110 lbs in middle school, but it fell ever since. <_>

Unpopular opinion time: talking about weight is okay with me.

I'm always more than happy to discuss my waist size and my body weight. I think the way my body is constructed is like...something I don't want to change.

Same: my build is one of the few things I really like about my appearance, along with hair and eye colour - all the rest of the detail work is meh. My friends all love talking about weight too, but for them, it's because they just like complaining.

My dad hates sushi on principle because of the risk of parasites, but I don't care: it's just too tasty!

I can never have dessert either, although I can force myself to finish dinner almost all the time since I hate it when food goes to waste on my account.

You carry a risk when eating raw foods in general. :P Just as long as it's fresh, you're good.

I never force myself, but I save some for later. Or, I just toss it. Because if I force myself, it's discomfort after. But I don't enjoy tossing food.

I don't find George Clooney that attractive or alluring.
My psychology teacher was crazy for him, but I don't care for his appearance and all either.

My prof eats out half the time and eats leftovers from eating out for the rest of the time. So she never has to cook, and prefers it that way.

Nor do I.

Cooking your own food is pretty delicious though. Home-cooked nuggets taste better than the fast-food variants especially when I cook them for example

The problem is that it takes a HUGE LOAD of time. It takes approximately one hour to prepare them and it's energy consuming to look after every one (I lightly fry them)

Rap isn't THAT bad, but I'd rather not listen to sex, drugs, and overwhelming profanity either. They're both topics I don't understand, never understand, and can't and won't bother to understand.

Hip-Hop should be treated like any other music genre: there's good eggs and bad eggs in them, you can't overgeneralize an entire genre of music.

Watching the wrong episodes can definitely make the show seem terrible. The first few I saw, I thought were dumb, but then I watched one that clicked, and I've been a fan ever since. Same with Steven Universe, and to a lesser extent, MLP (which I respect, but don't watch more than once in a blue moon).
Yeah CN's best shows have a tendency to have meh first episodes. But with like Adventure Time and Steven Universe, once the plot of the series kicks it holy fucking shit it's amazing

I slightly prefer good dubs over subs when it comes to shows.

In a different language, it's harder to pinpoint the natural emphases (especially in Japanese) and also harder to look at the imagery since you're reading the text and trying to synthesize the text with the words.

the major problem with dubing things is lip syncing, it will just feels unnatural and it's a problem very difficult to solve

that and voice fitting

Well, it's even worse when something like 4kids handles these, no doubt about it.
